Nice!

I remember this!  It's the train that goes up to Jungfrau:

I have a very distinct recall that this very location was included in the opening credits of an earlier season, but one where the location ended up not being used that season. Does anyone remember this? If it was in fact related to an unaired or unused task from that earlier season, that may help in looking for the teams there.

This is so exciting ! I went to the top of jungfrau on my euro trip with Contiki!

That's quite a trip, but I doubt that you actually got to the top of the Jungfrau. Where I bet you did go (and I went several decades ago) was to the Jungfraujoch, which is the top of the rail line past the top end of the Ice Palace. Here is a description of the trip to get there:

The Jungfrau railway climbs from Kleine Scheidigg to the Eiger Glacier station, well known for its mountain restaurant and polar dog kennels, then continues through the Eiger tunnel, only stopping to enjoy spectacular vistas on the way to the highest railway station in Europe. The Jungfraujoch is 3454 m up.

The mountain restaurant with its beautiful panorama terrace is located below the Eigergletscher (Eiger Glacier) at the foot of the majestic Mönch and Jungfrau massif at 2322 metres.
The actual Jungfrau is 4158 m and you have to walk through a treacherous ice field plus climb to get there. I doubt that you actually did that. Only experienced climbers should attempt it and tourist groups certainly do not. I didn't. The height at 3454 m made me very ill and I had to get down as rapidly as I could.

He's from Singapore. But lets get back to tweets.

But wait!

What time was his picture posted?

Well with a legit photo of Phil on the Jungfrau train from yesterday, teams should have arrived there this morning. If his camera clock is set to Singapore (+8) and Switzerland is (+1), then that is a 7 hour time difference in the pic. So he took the pic of Phil about 11:19 am on the Jungfrau train.....which fits with arriving on probably that SwisseAir flight from Jo'burg, transferring at the Zurich airport to train and transferring to the Jungfrau train in Interlaken.

I like the 11:10 am on 11/29/12 for Phil.  But did he mix up am and pm on his camera time setting?  Because 7 hours away from 30/11/12 6:19 would be 11:19 pm on November 29th, 2012.   :duno:

You are going the wrong way, Chateau. Singapore to Switzerland is like NYC to LA, you have to subtract the hours. If, as you propose, you add the 7 hours to 6:19, that would be 1:19am, not 11:19 pm. The photo is certainly not taken at 1:19 am.

I rmbr that picture from the season 4 intro.

The only Amazing Race visits to Switzerland have been:
AR3 - Grindelwald, Kandersteg, Montreux, Geneva
AR14 - Locarno, Interlaken
AR18 - Zermatt

Only AR3 pictures could have been in the season 4 intro

If Phil was filming on on the MT , then that is a stand up, and we can assume that this IS a TAR 22 location. Perhaps PitStop? I would search FB and twitter for this location in current time, my guess is that the leg is/has ending now.

And they are very close to an infamous Swiss task as well! Switchback time??

Which taks is that?

I'm guessing it is the cheese rolling task from TAR 14, although it could be the TAR 3 puzzle task.

That cheese hill was dangerous enough in summer without any snow on it.......It will really be crazy in winter with snow.

I am not familiar with an AR3 ROADBLOCK with a puzzle. The only ROADBLOCKs I know of in Switzerland were:
episode 8 crossbow to shoot an apple off a mannequin's head
episode 9 construct 2 bicycles and ride them from the Chateau de Chillon to the Bassett Marina

It was a detour task, but it was infamous for how much trouble the teams had with it. And given that a Switchback has been a roadblock or a fast forward so far, I'm not aware that a detour can't be a switchback.

The TAR 14 cheese task was just an active route info.
