Sorry, I didn't see it.  This forum is kind of hidden lower down so I guess not many visit it often.  It would probably have been better starting a new thread for it to make it more visible.

I had it as a very big signature. If you want to start a new one be my guest.

Really hoping that this gets renewed. Things do look a bit hopefully considering that applications are being hyped and have just closed, along with TARAus2 being one of the most memorable races in recent years.

Calm down guys, just enjoy the Christmas and New Year break!  :xmas110 We're sure to get some news about the upcoming season very soon. They don't need to rush this season because some of the places they have in mind they want to visit in the summer when it's warmer.

They have released a host for the Mole and it is NOT Grant so I don't think this really affects whether or not TAR AUS will return. I personally think it will though maybe not till the second half of the year - There is no way 7 will dump a show that has done really well rating wise.

It hasn't rated the best but that was due to poor timeslots (especially in S2). 7 should give it at least one more chance.

I've heard the same too but it hasn't been officially announced yet, so I'm curious as to where you found it.  ;)

I think perhaps this season is moving ahead with plans (interviews, etc) but is awaiting the official word/greenlight. We have had TAR seasons like that as well.

Yes it's all quite hush hush and low-key at this point. They seem to be planning the route and challenges right now it seems. I am only privvy to a few pieces of information but it looks like I have discovered a possible starting destination and first country.  :hearts:

I can't say too much. In 2011 I spoiled the starting line for Season 2 (not publicly but to one of the members here) and word got out somehow and production had to change the start line at the last minute. So you can understand why I'm not revealing a lot as I don't trust people to keep it under wraps.

Not the first. The fifth. Because that have to be Denmark  :hrt:
Why can't I pick the winning team?

Oh that's not an accurate source really, as anyone can edit Wikipedia. I thought you had some behind the scenes information.   :tantrum

WIKI is NEVER a source.

It is an excellent re-source after the fact, but never ever can be considered a source as anyone can edit in anything...

I will stand by this for now though.

You are right on the money with that Peach ;) as they appear to be waiting for 7 to give them the word to start racing. Budgeting as you can expect would be quite tight after 7 brought back the Mole this year (which started filming a few days ago).

Please review the following points carefully before starting your application.

1. All applications must be submitted as a team of two - Applicant A & Applicant B.

You and your partner should tell us everything we need to know about why you would be perfect for the race.

2. Both applicants must be 21 years of age or older before 30 September 2012.

3. Both applicants must be Australian citizens or have been a permanent resident of Australia for at least 2 years.

4. Neither applicant may be now or have been in the past 2 years an employee, officer, director or agent of the Seven Network or Active TV or their affiliates, or be associated with any news or media outlet, including any web based media outlet, in Australia

5.  You must submit ALL material for your application to be considered:

     - 1 x completed application per team

     - 3 x recent photos in .jpeg format - one photo of Applicant A, one photo of Applicant B and one photo of both

Applicant A & Applicant B (your team) together in the same shot

     - 1 x 3 minute video of your team.  The video must feature both Applicant A & Applicant B together.

The video should tell us about you and your relationship with your teammate, and why you want to be on the show.
