Mystery TAR Sightings - Can You Figure These Out?

With the report of teams carrying a Travelocity Gnome, (US Sponsor) makes me think perhaps a local race? Against that is "bullet train".

I don't remember if they had the travelocity gnomes in the Japan leg, but they did race through both Hiroshima and Osaka that leg.
They even traveled via train FROM Hiroshima TO Osaka during that leg.

Someone's son reportedly saw two people on the bullet train to Osaka a couple of days ago grabbing their gnome from an overhead compartment. BUT there was no camera crew with them...so am assuming someone was doing their own journey.
