But seriously 7, do it.

If you want it to only be a race within Australia and New Zealand then sure!

Why would that be? lol

I think he's making a reference to the American Family Edition (Season Eight), in which the contestants were too young to leave the country.

That's true but we've had contestants on the American edition that are over 18 but below 21 who have left the country...

Those were exceptions with some sort of celebrity status (KevinJumba, Caite the beauty queen etc...) so they probably thought it was worth the effort to pay that much more to cover their travel insurance. They wouldn't do it with everyday people.

Glamazon Racer:
That's true, but I can't imagine the difference would be so large (considering the fact that they're unlikely to cast more than 2 teams of that age group at most on any given season)... ???

Ryan:
I can't comment on the celebrity status, or what the typically age restricts on international travel are in AUS/NZL, but I know you can't do many things in the USA and a lot of Western Hemisphere nations unless you are at least 20. There's probably also a lot of legal things that go into the planning with all the different regulations that require you to be 21 (i.e. waivers and stuff, no?)

Just speculating - GOOD LUCK if anyone from down under is submitting!! Watching season 2 only reaffirmed my LOVE of Australian accents and culture. Can't get enough of that sheer positivity, Americans need more of it.

Air:
Australia doesn't really have a singular culture :P

(Or a singular accent for that matter  )
