« on: July 04, 2012, 05:14:02 AM »
vote who you think will go home next week and answer these questions.

1. Were you devastated at Ross and Tarryn's elimination?

2. Who will win and who should win the next leg?

3. Now that we're halway through the season, how does it compare to the first?

4. Which team do you think deserves to win the race the most?

5. What was/were the best moment(s) of leg 6?

6. Will Lucy and Emilia make the final 3?

7. Sticky and Sam helped the cops at the rugs for about 45 minutes, what do you think about that?

8. Predict the finishing order of the remaining seven teams for the whole race.

Hmmm hard to say really.  :)
Seems to be a lot of travelling going on,
Show content
first to Paris then to Cuba (?)

So that might be quite an equalizer. Still Paul, the twins and Grace/Joseph seem sharper racers than others with their eye on the prize more, in general (apart from Grace's somewhat whacky behavior at times).

So my guess would be either the Sticky & Sam, the cops or team hunners (has she actually raced in those since? Didn't notice..).
Hoping not the Italian sisters they're too much fun to watch! And they are in a relatively ok position now.  :)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Were you devastated at Ross and Tarryn's elimination?
No. They were ok but it has been coming for a while. Never felt that invested in that team, though they seemed nice people.

2. Who will win and who should win the next leg?
Paul & Steve will probably win it if they keep up the focus they have now.
The twins would deserve a win.

3. Now that we're halfway through the season, how does it compared to the first?
Didn't watch the first till months later so hard to compare. They have some of the same kinds of characters on.
Don't have a real favorite as opposed to then (was rooting for 1. Cowboys, 2. Sam/Renae / the surferboys). Also I am less enchanted with the leg design this year, it seems they haven't put enough thought in that which is kind of a let down. Like the locations, like most of the teams in general but nobody really stands out to me yet, unlike last year.

4. Which team do you think deserves to win the most?
The final win? Hard to say at the moment. Paul/Steve are doing well right now but aren't necessarily a team I'd like to see winning.Maybe the twins, or Sticky and Sam, though I'm afraid the latter won't if they keep up their present attutide towards the race.  :( I'd love to see the Italian sisters winning, even if they suck at racing (or rather because of it) but I don't think that's very likely  :lol3:

5. What was/were the best moment(s) of leg 6?
1. Lucy getting all hot and bothered with the Turkish guy.  :lol3:
2. Sam peeking at the twins soaping each other up.
3. The looks on the contestants faces when faced with huge oily chunks of men to wrestle.
4. The looks on the faces of some of the people doing the Dervish challenge, though I felt for them too.

6. Will Lucy and Emilia make the final 3?
Nah I don't think they will, unfortunately. They stuff up too much, that will cost them at some point.
But I'm glad they're around for longer than you'd have expected.  :)

7. What's your take on Sticky and Sam helping the cops out for (from what we've heard) about 45 minutes?
Well as mentioned elsewhere they were probably unlikely to get eliminated and they had apparently given up on the idea of becoming first so taking that into account their choice made some sense. But I feel they need to get a sharper attitude towards racing and decisions like this, pay more attention or else decisions or mistakes like that will cost them the race at some point.

8. Predict the finishing order of the remaining seven teams.
1. Paul/Steve
2. Joseph/Grace
3. Twins
4. Sticky/Sam
5. Italian sisters
6. Cops
7. Team Hunners
(though 4,5,6 and 7 could definitely be switching places).

*special (optional)* Construct your own question for next week's episode, going from what we see in the promo. The best one will be featured in next week's poll.
What is the consequence of the fact that - allegedly - Grace and Joseph stole team Hunner's taxi?

1. Were you devastated at Ross and Tarryn's elimination?

YES! They were my favourites  :'( But hey, everything happens for a reason  :) All Stars, maybe?

2. Who will win and who should win the next leg?

WILL: Michelle and Jo
SHOULD: Michelle and Jo

3. Now that we're halway through the season, how does it compare to the first?

The first season was brilliance, and they really did a great job on Leg design, locations, challenges, casting and editing
I feel like for this season the producers said "Oh, we put in so much effort for the first season, we should take it easy this time round"  :res:
But don't get me wrong, this is still a great season!  :hoot:

4. Which team do you think deserves to win the race the most?

Sticky and Sam
OR
Michelle and Jo
both teams are racing hard, fair and consistently, but I would prefer Michelle and Jo more :hearts:

5. What was/were the best moment(s) of leg 6?

Lucy and Emilia shoe shining
Shane giving the young Turkish boy and kangaroo keyring  :hugs:
Sticky and Sam helping out the cops
Michelle and Jo at the Turkish bath  ;)

6. Will Lucy and Emilia make the final 3?

YES

7. Sticky and Sam helped the cops at the rugs for about 45 minutes, what do you think about that?

As the cops said, Stciky and Sam could've easily left and burnt them. It was so kind of them to stay back for a bit to help  :)

8. Predict the finishing order of the remaining seven teams.

(Leg 7 finishing order)
1. Cops
2. Lucy and Emilia
3. Twins
4. Paul and Steve
5. Groseph
6. Hunners
7. Sticky and Sam

1. Were you devastated at Ross and Tarryn's elimination?

Very much so. :'( :'( I'm just glad it wasn't a race between Lucy & Emilia and Ross & Tarryn - can you imagine racing against a team without whom you wouldn't even be in the race? :ascared

2. Who will win and who should win the next leg?

Who will win - Michelle & Jo. Who should win - Michelle & Jo.

3. Now that we're halway through the season, how does it compare to the first?

Cast-wise, this case is probably better than the first. Location-wise, the Season 1 route was heaps better than the Season 2 route (at least so far). Task-wise, the tasks for Season 2 have generally been more exciting, with a few major exceptions, particularly on the most recent leg. On Season 1, I really loved the first five legs, but I felt that it just died after there. This season, I actually expect the latter half to be better than what we've seen so far.

4. Which team do you think deserves to win the race the most?

A hard question for sure. The team who deserves to win - just because they are both strong and extremely nice - is definitely Sticky & Sam. Michelle & Jo are probably in second place in that regard.

5. What was/were the best moment(s) of leg 6?

Very few good moments for me - it was my least favourite episode of the season. The tasks were not very well designed or balanced and the leg structure was abysmal at best. Best moment of the leg would probably have to go to Shane & Andrew giving a kangaroo toy to the little boy. I thought it was a very cute scene.

6. Will Lucy and Emilia make the final 3?

Never doubt Lucy & Emilia. They are the only team who has improved on every single leg. ;)

7. Sticky and Sam helped the cops at the rugs for about 45 minutes, what do you think about that?

If anything, it was a smart strategic move. Sticky & Sam were at no risk at all in the battle for elimination, with two teams struggling four hours behind, so it was a smart move to make an ally. They also actually lost no time, because they still got to the Intersection third and had to wait for Joseph & Grace to show up anyway, so they were not disadvantaged at all by waiting, unless of course they had a chance to get to the Intersection ahead of Michelle & Jo, but it is unclear how far behind they were. It also shows just how nice people they are. I would never have expected the cops to give them the rug, first of all, let alone for Sticky & Sam to stay and help. It shows the amazing natures of both teams. :hearts:

8. Predict the finishing order of the remaining seven teams.

My prediction for Leg 7:

1. Michelle & Jo :hearts:
2. Joseph & Grace :hearts:
3. Paul & Steve :stare
4. Shane & Andrew :hearts:
5. James & Sarah :hearts:
6. Lucy & Emilia (bottomfeeding goddesses) :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:
7. Sticky & Sam :'( :'( :'(

1. Were you devastated at Ross and Tarryn's elimination?

Devastated, no. Sad, yes. :(

2. Who will win and who should win the next leg?

Who will win: Michelle & Jo. Who should win: Lucy & Emilia :hrt:

3. Now that we're halway through the season, how does it compare to the first?

Casting seems similar. Locations would be awarded to season 1. But, energy would be given to season 2. :hrt: There is lots of energy with the teams and the war between Paul & Steve vs. Rest of Cast.

4. Which team do you think deserves to win the race the most?

Sticky & Sam. They have raced well and have been nice and thoughtful the whole way to the other teams.

5. What was/were the best moment(s) of leg 6?

Sticky and Sam and Michelle and Jo at the Turkish Bath House :funny:

6. Will Lucy and Emilia make the final 3?

I hope so! :luvya:

7. Sticky and Sam helped the cops at the rugs for about 45 minutes, what do you think about that?

It was a nice act, and with no threat of elimination, it didn't do any harm.

8. Predict the finishing order of the remaining seven teams for the whole race.

1) Michelle & Jo
2) Paul & Steve
3) Lucy & Emilia
4) Shane & Andrew
5) Joseph and Grace
6) Sticky & Sam
7) James & Sarah

1. Were you devastated at Ross and Tarryn's elimination?

I would be DEVASTATED if Michelle & Jo were eliminated. But Ross & Tarryn were a nice team, so it'sad.

2. Who will win and who should win the next leg?

Michelle & Jo for both questions.

3. Now that we're halway through the season, how does it compare to the first?

In this season we have Michelle & Jo, a very strong and likeable all female team. Last season Sam & Renae were very good too, but they struggled a little bit with some of the tasks.

4. Which team do you think deserves to win the race the most?

Michelle & Jo.

5. What was/were the best moment(s) of leg 6?

Michelle & Jo in a turkish bath  :-[

6. Will Lucy and Emilia make the final 3?

Yes, along with Michelle & Jo.

7. Sticky and Sam helped the cops at the rugs for about 45 minutes, what do you think about that?

When they didn't help Michelle & Jo in Dubai it wasn't that bad. Maybe this leg they wanted to help the cops because the last two teams were far behind, but i think it would be better if they stuck with one line, in this case maybe not helping them that much... 45 minutes is TOO MUCH TIME.

8. Predict the finishing order of the remaining seven teams for the whole race.

1- Michelle & Jo  :conf: :luvya: :hrt: :hearts: :colors
2- Paul & Steve
3- Lucy & Emilia
4- Shane & Andrew
5- Joseph & Grace
6- James & Sarah
7- Sticky & Sam

2. Joseph & Grace
3. Michelle & Jo
4. Shane & Andrew
5. Paul & Steve
6. James & Sarah
7. Sticky & Sam

1. Were you devastated at Ross and Tarryn's elimination?
Sad but not devastated, and certainly not surprised.

2. Who will win and who should win the next leg?
Michelle and Jo

3. Now that we're halway through the season, how does it compare to the first?'
I like it!  Ask me again at the end

4. Which team do you think deserves to win the race the most?
Deserves? Oh I dunno, Lucy and Emilia to show people can have fun and win too? Sticky & Sam? The cops for their families?
Ask me again in a few weeks. Too soon now.

5. What was/were the best moment(s) of leg 6?
The twins catching up to Paul & Steve at the intersection after they've been yielded  :lol3:

6. Will Lucy and Emilia make the final 3?
I hope so!

7. Sticky and Sam helped the cops at the rugs for about 45 minutes, what do you think about that?
Both of those teams are being too nice. Wouldn't have happened if the cops did what any other team would have done and kept their mouths shut and not shout about it.  :groan:

NO

2. Who will win and who should win the next leg?
MICHELLE & JO

3. Now that we're halway through the season, how does it compare to the first?
It's more dramatic and more interesting. Everything has been great except last leg where Ross and Tarryn had no chance to catch up.

4. Which team do you think deserves to win the race the most?
Michelle & Jo, been consistently and cute so far
Lucy & Emilia, I just love their humor

5. What was/were the best moment(s) of leg 6?

6. Will Lucy and Emilia make the final 3?
I think they might get the last spot because shane & Andrew is not really that strong and Joseph & Grace haven't really shone yet

7. Sticky and Sam helped the cops at the rugs for about 45 minutes, what do you think about that?
They're stupid...

8. Predict the finishing order of the remaining seven teams for the whole race.

I had prepared for the moment for a long time.

2. Who will win and who should win the next leg?

Michelle & Jo will & should win.

3. Now that we're halway through the season, how does it compare to the first?

The same, if ot better. Honestly, the only thing they did wrong was use too many already used challenges.

4. Which team do you think deserves to win the race the most?

Lucy & Emilia or Michelle & Jo.

5. What was/were the best moment(s) of leg 6?

Lucy loving the random Turkish guy.

6. Will Lucy and Emilia make the final 3?

 :yess: :hearts: :hearts:

7. Sticky and Sam helped the cops at the rugs for about 45 minutes, what do you think about that?

It was pretty good strategicaly, I reckon, because there is now a sort of friendship between them=Less chance of getting U-Turned at Voting U-Turns.

Didn't realize the question about the finishing order pertained to the whole race not just the leg.  :res:

So many people saying Sticky and Sam in place 7 makes me think maybe they know something I don't know (I usually don't look at spoilers i.e. prefer not to). Which makes me sad because I don't want them gone. :(

Hope it's just a few people taking guesses.  ;)

I'll jump in here, even though I am new.  Been loving this season, so here goes.

vote who you think will go home next week and answer these questions.

1. Were you devastated at Ross and Tarryn's elimination?

Not really.  I really liked them the first few legs, but they had become blander over time.  I was very disappointed that they quit on that challenge the previous leg. I thought they would have been tougher than that, so after that I expected to be gone and found it harder to root for them.

2. Who will win and who should win the next leg?

Hard to bet against the momentum that Paul and Steve had.

3. Now that we're halway through the season, how does it compare to the first?

Awesome in that they are going to more diverse areas, and I am liking the teams almost as much as I enjoyed the first.  Overall it is on par with the first season, which I consider the best of all versions of the AR that I have watched.

4. Which team do you think deserves to win the race the most?

Deserves, sheesh that makes it hard.  Sticky and Sam are very much deserving, mainly because they do it the right way, and are cool to everyone.

5. What was/were the best moment(s) of leg 6?

Getting to see another side of Steve. I actually felt bad for him and may actually root for him in the future.  He comes off like such a dick, but if he was bullied growing up, it would explain a lot.  I thought it added a lot of depth to him and I am glad they included that.

Probably my favorite moment was when Ross went to give the back massage to the guy getting a shoe shine and the Turskinh guy was having none of that.  Very funny.

6. Will Lucy and Emilia make the final 3?

No way, but of course I thought there was no way they would still be around at this point.  I really hope they do make it that far, because they are hilarious and just fun to watch.

7. Sticky and Sam helped the cops at the rugs for about 45 minutes, what do you think about that?

great guys, but kind of a stupid move.  A bit too nice for a race, but it makes me root for them more.

8. Predict the finishing order of the remaining seven teams for the whole race.

Sticky and Sam
Paul Steve
Michelle Jo
Joseph Grace
James Sarah
Cops
Lucy and Emilia

1. Were you devastated at Ross and Tarryn's elimination?

nah, they were a likable team, but pretty bland imo.

2. Who will win and who should win the next leg?

Probably Paul and Steve again. I think Michelle and Jo deserve to win a leg the most, wouldn't mind Lucy and Emilia winning one too.

3. Now that we're halway through the season, how does it compare to the first

tough question, I put them on even ground. They're both equally awesome.

4. Which team do you think deserves to win the race the most?

I think Michelle and Jo deserve it the most, they've had the most consistent race. Lucy and Emilia would be second, they also deserve it.

5. What was/were the best moment(s) of leg 6?

I loved all the task especially the whirling dervishes one. The soap challenge was especially fun to watch.

6. Will Lucy and Emilia make the final 3?

I hope so. They better pull a Dandrew

7. Sticky and Sam helped the cops at the rugs for about 45 minutes, what do you think about that?

There wasn't a big danger of elimination so it was a nice move, plus they found their rug for them so it makes sense. Good for them.

8. Predict the finishing order of the remaining seven teams for the whole race

1. Michelle and Jo
2. Lucy and Emilia
3. Paul and Steve
