So we have a Moscow leg seemingly filmed late on the 8th June, and teams in Amsterdam early on the 11th.. Do we think there must be another leg in between?

good question. I think it's a good possibility. I'm still not certain a leg didn't happen between Singapore and Bangladesh

I remember mentioning Amsterdam a few pages ago, I just didn't expect it would be a few legs later. So this is either Leg 8 or 9, right? Still 2 or 3 legs before end-city, which we haven't figured out yet, but it'll happen sometime this weekend, right?

It looks lie 8 to me, although it is hard to tell when double legs occur in the same city (which I do not show below). My count on the legs is:
1.Shanghai
2.Indonesia
3.Indonesia
4.Dhaka
5.somewhere in Bangladesh
6.Istanbul
7.Moscow
8. Amsterdam

:)  Looks like you can take the train from Schiphol (airport) to Amsterdam Centraal Station.  This might be the first stop of the day in the Netherlands.

At the moment, I suspect Amsterdam is the tenth leg.
I think we've had two legs each in Indonesia, Bangladesh, Turkey, Russia.
I can see the Netherlands being a single leg to set teams up for a leg in the Americas somewhere, or countries in the Atlantic Ocean/Caribbean Sea before returning to the U.S.

Looking at both pics from the teams on Prins Hendrikkade, it seems that the twins are heading on the opposite direction that the Farmers and Abby and his mate are walking torwards (in their pic, the circular building is behind them, and the Art Deco Building is at their right; in the twins one, this building is on their left, so they are going in the circular building direction).

I am pretty sure we will at least get 1-2 new countries.  To my guess Latvia and Luxembourg maybe our new countries (Latvia after Russia, and Luxembourg after Netherlands)

It's anyone's guess. However, let me point out that Amazing Races almost always end on either a Saturday or a Sunday in the U.S. If the final location before the finale is in Europe, then he flights would take off early morning in Europe to land late morning U.S. My point is that I think there are another 3 legs in Europe, Africa, South America or Central America before the finale. That means that there were no second legs in Russia or in Turkey.

I don't agree with those locations because that would mean zero new countries out of ten legs. There should be at least two or three new out of ten.
Physics alone is not enough.

So believed route so far:

Leg 1: USA - China
Leg 2: China-Indonesia
Leg 3: Indonesia
Leg 4: Indonesia - Bangladesh
Leg 5: Bangladesh
Leg 6: Bangladesh - Turkey
Leg 7: Turkey-Russia
Leg 8: Russia
Leg 9: Russia - Netherlands

We likely will see 1-2 more nations. Africa/or Brazil makes sense

That makes sense, but is void of any new countries to balance out the old. They aren't going to save them for the very end. I don't think there are two legs in Bangladesh or Russia.

Amsterdam has 3 such districts, two of which are very near the Centraal Station area.

They probably didn't travel very far.

Hi guys,

After reading all of the most experienced detectives' posts I agree there have to be at least two or three legs missing.

All countries (re)visited so far boost milenary civilizations and cities visited are not primeval tropical beach destinations. We are missing tasks at the beach in less developed areas!

Amsterdam is an extremely well connected hub for the Dutch and other Caribbean destinations that will set the teams up for an early morning arrival in the US from destinations that have an enormous amount of daily flights to all over the conterminous States.

Dutch Caribbean and South America:

Saint Maarten
Aruba
Curacao
Paramaribo

Other:

Punta Cana
Puerto Plata
Santo Domingo
Cancun

If it is not the Dutch Caribbean, then the other destinations are not only very well served from Schipol but also from Barajas and that can also give us Madrid!

What do you think?

I still think that Amsterdam is more likely leg 8 or at most leg 9. Either Turkey and Russia had only a leg each or only one of them had a double leg, it's unlikely that both of them had double legs - pure speculation, I have to check the dates to make my assessment more likely.

If it's Leg 8 or 9 (I think latter more likely) - Leg 10 would be run on June 12 or 13th. With Leg 11 for June 14th or  very early June 15th at the latest. With Final 3 heading for end-city on June 16th, running final leg on June 17th or even at June 16th, depending on Leg 11 location.

Now onto more speculation.
They'll probably introduce a new country with the next leg. I'm trying to find train schedules, but having some difficulty at it, to speculate on another leg in Europe. Checking flights out of Amsterdam, Luxembourg would fit new country assessment. Had a hard time finding flights to South or Central American regions within up to next 18 hours  - there was a flight to Sao Paulo (which could serve like Taipei - as flight connection city). There were several flights to Canada, but that would make the inclusion of a new country harder.

We're already a few hours away from pit-stop, and I checked flights departing from now up to 18 hours, which is already stretching more than I expect the rest period will last (Even if there's a task before next city clue, with HOO involved).

Madrid or Barcelona are likely. But for European destinations someone should really check also train schedules.

For Cities in Central America for the next leg, very unlikely (I even added Belize and Guatemala as additional possibilities to the ones you already mentioned to broaden the possibilities and nothing came up). Couldn't find flights that can reach them leaving Amsterdam in these next few hours.

I have a probable theory that Latvia may have been visited.  If the remaining teams were in the Amsterdam area of the late afternoon of June 11th, I researched that there is one flight that could have been taken if Latvia was after Moscow and before Amsterdam.
-airBaltic flight#617 (for June 11 2012)
-leaves RIX at 11:35am
-arrives AMS at 1:00pm

Also last season when they visited Azerbaijan, I believe there were no tweets/info until the season began to air.

Latvia seems likely..
and if this is leg 9 then we have on or two countries left.
