Flight options out of SIN
SQ 217 goes to Melbourne but only a forty minute window there.
TR 2182 to Krabi at 10.25
PR 502 to Manila at 10.30
TR 2106 to Bangkok at 10.50
ignoring Kuala Lumpur because they could have gotten there from SUB
AK 5343 to Langkawi at 10.55
MK 647 to Mauritius at 11.05
AK 5802 to Penang at 11.25
JT* 150 to Ho Chi Min City at noon
SQ 224 to Perth at 1.05
KE 643 to Seoul at 1.30 (in case Phil went there)

Matching this list with this:

So if Phil was in Terminal 1 departures around that time he could have been headed for:

Singapore CX 735
Bangkok    CX 751
Seoul    CX 418
Hanoi    CX 1791
Phuket    CX 6804
Kuala Lumpur    CX 1727
Penang    CX 693

Makes it likely the leg is in Singapore, Thailand, or Malaysia.

Amazing Race Juanda Airport

 5:01 PM - 1 Jun 12

have asked for more info already

They are flying to Singapore with China airlines from Surabaya Airport :hearts:

Nice!! So, we be able to track them again...
I guess find those teams in Singapore would be much more easier...

FlightStats and FlightAware both use the same GPS/radar tracking data when it is avialable. In this part of the world, that data is not available. So both use the information supplied by the airline. The arrival is only estimated by China Airlines and that is what both tracking systems uses.

Flight Stats times are based on gate arrivals and gate departures.

Flight Aware times are based on wheels up and wheels down on the runway. So there will always be a discrepency between the two estimates.

As far as China Airlines 752 today, Flight Aware will amend its records to reflect the time reported for wheels down by the control tower and Flight Stats will report the gate arrival time posted by China Airlines.

In a flight of 2 hours and 20 minutes, it is pretty easy to make up the lost time at departure.

Changi Airport reported wheels down at 9:09 am.
Gate Arrival reported at 9:17 am.

I'm thinking Singapore is just a connection point. The flight has been down for 2.5 hours and if there were teams running through Singapore we'd have at least a couple tweets/sightings.

Yes. -_-

So don't pass the wrong information and tell me that Singapore is Leg 4 and go catch the race. I think they flew to Singapore but barely stayed for some time only.

This is all in the air but having flown to singapore from perth last year, I know that flights from singapore to perth are very frequent, and having not seen the teams in a while, i presume teams would have been in the air for about 3 hours... it is a 5 hour flight to perth... if it is found out that teams are in perth, somebody message me because i know a family who are going to be at perth airport all day! and if they have a long leg in perth, ill be a detective!

again, all spec^

AF has a daily flight to Paris-CDG from Changi. Isn't it a bit too far to make a connection to Africa so early in the race?

Remember we have Phil in HK as well WHY? If there was a Singapore leg? Easier to go direct.

DEF this should be checked out if possible though, just so we all dont have nightmares!

We may have had a sighting of Phil in HK. The woman who saw "the host of the amazing race" has never answered back to say which host she saw. At least not to me.

According to his twitter, Alan Wu is on the move "somewhere" in China this week. He didnt say where, just that he was going to be away from his home base in Shanghai. So I think we need to find out just which host she saw too, Plaidmoon. I hope she will reply to you.

According to Allan's weibo,he fly to Zhuhai yesterday afternoon...I think he didn't need to transmit at HK from Shanghai to Zhuhai.

It could mean they went to Seoul or Bangkok since SIN and HKG both connect to there.

You will have to explain to us, just why TAR would go from Surabaya to Seoul? If TAR21 did contain a leg in Seoul, wouldnt logic put it as either Leg 1 before Shanghai or Leg 2 after Shanghai........Flying all the way from Shanghai to Surabaya and then all the way back to Seoul.......which btw is practically right next to Shanghai......just doesnt make any sense at all.

Also.......where would TAR21 go AFTER going to Seoul???? Australia/NewZealand.......well they were closer when they were in Surabaya........
South Asia........again, they were closer when they were in Surabaya......

Bangkok, on the other hand, makes a lot of sense........looks like Phil flew Surabaya to Bali, then to Hong Kong........again....it was the fastest way to get him out of East Java.

Thanks for going to the Esplanade to look for TAR. Too bad they were just passing through the airport.

When I looked at the list of flights from Singapore, I had a feeling it was going to be Sri Lanka (it's been a long time since they were there). Leafsfan just posted that someone saw they boarding a flight for CMB (I think that's Colombo), so I think you were on the right track!

I certainly don't think Colombo would be a connection point for somewhere else.  :o

If it is Columbo, this may be the right time for Sri Lanka. The Tamil Civil War ended over a year ago, and things appear to be relatively more peactful with no obvious security treats; it's been years since the Great Tsunami (which was just after TAR 6 filmed there), and we've had the coincidence on this show before of a team with a connection to a country being on a Race that goes to that country (or where the tasks seemed to fit a team that was cast).
So Sri Lanka does make sense.
As to Nepal and Bhutan, the news reports on the Mt. Everest climbers the last couple of weekends made clear that there's a seeasonal weather pattern that sets up at the end of May (monsoon, maybe?) so that would suggest that whatever the weather pattern is, it would apply to both and likely rule out both for this Race. Just speculation, but it made some sort of sense to me.

TARA4 made a visit to Colombo too, it's more than safe enough for TAR I believe.
