I believe this article details Ep 2 as an extended PitStop??

Quote
Did that affect you the next two legs?
Gary: A little bit. It was better because we had a longer Pit Stop.

He may have been referring to after leg 3 since he tempers it with "A little bit".  We have time stamps on sightings that make it impossible for the extended Pit Stop to be after leg 2.  And a big ol'gap in between leg 3 and the SIN sightings.

Yes, teams reached Phil at the end of leg 3 around 10.00 on the 31st. Then it seems they were released after 36h in the evening of the 1st. The next morning they flew out and were sighted in Singapore on the 2nd.

It seems they arrived in Dhaka on the evening of the 2nd but did their racing on the 3rd.

AmazingRace:

Teams did not actually have to visit Paris. In leg 11 they had to get from the Balearic Islands to the French Chateau region around Tours. I believe they got there by train and that does not require going as far north as Paris.

In leg 12, F3 teams had to get to Queens borough of New York City. The logical route is from CDG to JFK. Getting to CDG may have involved a connection in Paris, but I suspect team bypassed it.

All final three teams seem to be getting an even edit this year.
Physics alone is not enough.

In some posts on this board, the final three have been mentioned. On the time like it has not. Is this because we are not 100% certain?

I'm curious, I've stayed spoiler free this year because my friend is related by marriage to Jaymes.  Today, my curiouslity got the best of me so I decided to come to RFF to check out the spoilers.  I'm told that the winner is known yet I cannot find the answer anywhere.  Can someone direct me?

beatlelovr, I don't think that's correct; as far as I can remember we never were sure about who won, just who made final three. At least I don't know who won.

Still not really sure about what happened to the Pit Stops in Moscow, but I think production "lent" the trailing teams about three hours credit for the second Moscow leg, and took it back at the end of the leg! (That'd help to keep the time the crew has to wait around shorter.)

AR21, episode 1 had a  Roadblock : Who wants to go 'tubing?':

In the second Roadblock, the team member who sat out the first Roadblock had to eat two hollowed-out papayas full of a Chinese delicacy dessert known as hasma – the fatty tissue found near frog fallopian tubes – using only the provided chopsticks and without lifting the papaya off the table.

This morning on a Bizarre Foods special Asia episode, Andrew Zimmern in Bangkok ate bird's nest soup. He indicted that the ingredients are a broth containing dried swallow's nests, hasma and sometimes gingko nuts. so there are other uses for hasma besides the one in Shanghai.
