In that picture, does Brendon have their green kerchief wrapped around his hand?

If a team picks up the wrong piece of sushi, I wonder if they have to eat it?  :food:

Seems a nice idea.

Hey, do you remember "¡Wasabi!" or the fake food RB in Hong Kong?

    Quote
Located in the Seto Inland Sea, ten miles (6 km) southwest of the city of Hiroshima, the small island (12 square miles) of Miyajima is a sacred site of both Shintoism and Buddhism.

So this is where Hiroshima makes its appearance!

    reference

The reason why they'd visited to Hiroshima first before going to Osaka is because they'd visited the Peace Memorial there in order to pay respect to the victims of atom bomb blast on the final days of World War II which is similar to the All-Star edition when the 6 remaining teams paid respect to the victims of the Holocaust at the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland.  Reaction?

I was thinking of those tasks, along with the India tea identifying task and a few others. TAR seems to want have teams eat or drink to their limits at times. I thought that might happen here, but it was more like having them stop for a mid race snack so they they would have the energy for the rest of the leg. Art tried though. I think he cleared most of the bingo card as he was leaving the table.

For what it's worth, this hostel is claiming on their Twitter feed to have been shown in the Osaka leg.

They are near the ferry terminal, so it's possible teams ran past their building.

Not only ran past there, but actually spent the night there waiting for the morning ferry.  They showed it during the episode.   ;)

One of the things making the Detour choices unequal was the distance they had to travel to Kura sushi (viewpoint here; although the restaurant hadn't been built when the streetview car went by, you can see the road sign is still the same). The sumo photo task was much closer to Umeda.

I bet that World Race Productions knows how to measure not distances but times to get to each DETOUR and they equalize them with the presumed length of the task so that one DETOUR is not supposed to be easier than the other. Despite their best efforts, that is not always been the case; the best example is Art/JJ doing the DETOUR in the Kochi area sifting garlic, packing boxes and delivering them.

There was nothing wrong with the detour, it was Art & JJ's karma...

Just watched the finale. Pretty meh finale. Only excitement was Dave and Rachel's stumbling upon finishing line by mistake.. and still win.

Art and JJ, just simply bad karma. Trash talking, creating conflicts and completely being huge asses throughout the race. If they had won, it would have been one of the WORST SEASONS EVER.

    Thank goodness they didn't. :ghug:
