Speculation about Roadblock in the Castle might be true, I think...

since teams were finding the way out through labyrinth and search for King Ludwig's bedroom...
Let's assume that labyrinth is inside the castle with hundreds or maybe thousands of rooms and hallway...  :)

So what about the gnome curling? Can that be the road block? All this speculation is confusing me.  :iok

This may be a far out there stretch, but is it possible that searching in Sleeping Beauty's castle is a fast forward? This could be an alternate solution to Vanessa yelling at Ralph in the promo saying, "This was your idea."  :duno:

This also explain why the press release says "ONE TEAMS snowy labyrinth"

So this is confirmed:
Detour = beards or gingerbread
speedbump = yodeling

Curling almost has to be the roadblock.  If the Oberammergau outdoor rink is correct, it could play out similar to the last leg.  Short travel difficult task (salami/gingerbread) or longer travel easier task (statue/beards).

The castle is probably search for a clue.

I thought we already determined that the beards are in Unterammergau?? It is the curling (presumed) and the Gingerbread and the yodelling that are in Oberammergau. That is what was throwing us off on calling the beards a Detour, it is further away than most Detours.

I'm confused how a couple miles is really that far away. I'm not sure how close most detours are, but the two towns don't seem that far.

You are absolutely right. I just relooked and I was just remembering incorrectly.  :-[

 Oberammergau to Neuschwanstein:

Suggested routes
48.1 km, 50 mins B23 and B17

Oberammergau to Unterammergau
4.6 km, 8 mins B23
7.0 km, 9 mins Ettaler Straße and B23

Perfectly possible.

I have a feeling that demon worshiper Vanessa said this quote.  Or perhaps Kerri/Stacey.

Why is Ralph making such a big deal about carrying her jacket?

And did Brenchel bring those hats? :lol3:

Regarding flights, the speculation thread has a discussion going about maybe teams drove from Turin; appears driving might have been faster.

good point. it's 240 miles away. About a 4 hour drive. BUT...that would be so much to ask of these people. I could imagine people getting totally lost.
SilasK,

I would love to know the source of your information from Fussen to Munich. My source says it is "86.4 miles. It takes 2 hours by train and about 1 hour and 40" minutes by car.

The Rome sighting was not for this leg...teams were sighted changing planes there on the way from Asuncion to Turin.

Is it possible that the Gnome Curling is the RB and done 1st.  Maybe that is how they get their gnomes.  Since we only see JJ doing it.  Maybe one team member has to get the gnome in the middle of the target to get the gnome and their next clue.  Since one picture shows writing on the bottom of one.

Thank you, been lurking for years, but never really had something to say.

I am also thinking the castle might be the pitstop.  We only have an hour show to fit everything.  Still wondering if they drive or take another form of transportation to Germany.

I'm thinking so far it's:
get to Germany
Yodeliing
RBlock - gnome curling
detours - beard or gingerbread
make way to castle, maybe they have to find Phil in one of the rooms.   :duno:

But like walkingpneumonia said, they don't have their backpacks on the way to the castle. It does seem like a lot of stuff to fit in to one leg though.

Oh right, maybe you have to park at the bottom and either walk up or take a carriage.  Would mean their stuff is in the car.  Gee for someone who never really has had something to say before, sure is talkity today.

That's make perfect sense with the clip of Vanessa & Ralph walking to the castle (with the image of the carriage), and the discussion about the choice to go on foot.

Thanks WP!!

Here are some pics of the BLZ in Fussn...I don't see any shiny red??

http://www.blz.fuessen.de/

But caps 10 and 11 do seem to be inside to me ... so :duno:

I keep going back to this picture which shows writing on the main arena.  There is also a yellow sign that says something.

That appears to me in the foreground to be a main arena - signage and fences.  The hometeam in Fussen (yes, I'm still stuck on Fussen for the ice arena even though I can't find the shiny red).

The ice complex at Fussion has:
3 closed ice-rinks
2 for icehockey and figure skating
1 for curling

Here is a photo of the inside of the curling rink - 4 lanes?  I've not that familar with this sport, but it looks like 4 teams could curl at once.

http://www.blz.fuessen.de/
Notice the main arena in the foreground through the windows.

This sports complex is an 11 minute walk from the Fussen Train Station.

But Cougs look at the picture of JJ, he is almost shoulder length with the window and very white, your pictures is too dark for it to be the place and no windows at shoulder length.
