The gnome task is before the detour because Brenchel has it with them on the table.
Physics alone is not enough.

I'm thinking :

Route Info :

Some place...

Speed Bumb :
Yodeling

Route Info :
A snowy labrynth

Roadblock :
Gnome Curling

Route Info :
Sleeping Beauty's Castle

Detour :
Build or Beard

Pit Stop.

Remember that it is not CONFIRMED that there is a Speed Bumb. Second, I don't think the snowy labyrinth is a task, just an indicator of a team getting lost (spec).

“Uglier Than A Mud Rail Fence (Bavaria, Germany)” – Teams scour King Ludwig’s quarters in the same castle that served as the inspiration for Sleeping Beauty’s castle, and tempers flare during one Team’s walk through a snowy labyrinth, on THE AMAZING RACE, Sunday, March 18 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.  Phil Keoghan is host.

The first route info I think is Sleeping Beauty's Castle where they are searching for a Travelocity gnome (pure spec). Remember that the Speed Bumb is not confirmed!

There's a brief shot of Mark/Bopper dealing with the witch in that clip. Since we've got multiple teams at the gingerbread task (Brenchel, Mark/Bopper, another team that is maybe Art/JJ) and the beard task (Joey/Danny, Dave/Rachel, Nary/Jaime), I think it's a good bet that the yodeling is a Speed Bump.

It's a good bet, but the Speed Bumb is not confirmed.

The labrynth may be a reference to the paths that lead up the hill to Neuschwanstein Castle. If you use google maps you can see a maze of roads surrounding the castle.
And btw, it's bump, not bumb.

I loved the fact that the narrator of the new preview opened with "Once Upon a Time...", as that is the show that is currently competing with TAR in the Sunday 7PM timeslot. :conf:

Thats the road up to the castle, I know it since I've walked it up myself

They have a bus that goes up to it, they have a horse drawn carriage, or you could walk up(all end at that road pictured)

Regarding flights, the speculation thread has a discussion going about maybe teams drove from Turin; appears driving might have been faster.

Wow! Gnome curling is one of the most creative gnome-related tasks we have ever seen, right behind the Swiss chocolate gnomes! :colors

If Bopper & Mark couldn't pronounce 'Lingotto', then I am really looking forward to seeing how they will pronounce these terms! :lol3:

From a logistical point of view, I think the outdoor rink on Malensteinweg in Oberammergau would work best. Its walking distance from the Hansel and Gretel house.
I can't find any photos of it in action though.
The Oberammergau web site says the outdoor rink is behind the tennis courts.

  Maybe Fussen is in contention, as it's close to the castle.  Maybe more contemporary buildings in Fussen.   :duno:

This site for the Oberammergau Youth Hostel says:

Ice arena and curling next to the youth hostel

Surely some backpacker took a pic?? :pull

If you're searching be sure to add Eisstockschießen to your search terms. Canadian-style curling isn't as popular in Bavaria (biggest difference--no sweepers).

There is a smaller pub/theater in Oberammergau where they do "folkloric" shows (not the large one where the Passion play is done) that is the probable site of the speedbump. They seem to have a lot of different backdrops...

So not in the Hansel and Gretel house as I previously thought.

I am saying that is unlikely, Walkingpneumonia. My rationale is that the distance is 17 miles each way, times 2 is 34 miles. That is a lot of time in transport before even considering the task itself.
