Suggests the Philippines

"MANILA, Philippines - A Hollywood television series will be shot in the Philippines after the spy thriller “The Bourne Legacy” finishes filming in the country by Feb. 25, the film’s local producers said over the weekend.

Jun Juban of the Philippine Film Studios told The STAR during a weekly news forum that negotiations are ongoing for a four-month location shooting for the series.

“We are formalizing with our counterpart the shooting of the television series, which will again showcase tourist destinations in the country,” he said.

Juban declined to give details of the new series as not to pre-empt the official announcement.
But it says it's a new series.

What do u mean?
Like, I think it means it's a completely new show. I don't think we can assume Survivor will be in the Philippines just because we know a show will be filming there. Besides, the article states they will be filming for 4 months, which is a long time for Survivor.

Whatsoever... I don't think I'll follow the future seasons. None of recent seasons has lived up to my expectations. :groan:

Caramoan, Philippines the location for Survivor 25, 26

http://www.realityblurred.com/realitytv/archives/survivor_25/2012_Mar_09_caramoan-camsur-location

Quote
Survivor’s 25th and 26th seasons will be filmed earlier than usual and start production soon, with crew members heading to the location this weekend. And while there’s been rampant speculation about what exactly these seasons will consist of, and how returning cast members will be included, there’s very little concrete information except that the show will be filmed in the Philippines, specifically in a place known as CamSur.

News that the show would film in Caramoan, in the Camarines Sur province, has been coming from the islands, particularly over the past month. In January, a regional newspaper reported that “Survivor USA shoot will be the thirteenth season series of the globally broadcast reality show” to film there, and in mid-January, “personnel of the Provincial Capitol trooped to Gota Village Resort to attend to and oversee requirements at the facility in terms of personnel, housekeeping and logistical requirements in order to be ready for the coming of Survivor USA’s cast and crew.” Another report mentioned that a U.S. television series would film for four months, following production on the next Bourne film there.

More recent confirmation comes from a kayaking company and inn, which says on its web site that “Matukad island will be closed during March as production team of USA is now in Caramoan preaparing for the Survivor show!”, while a tour company advertised its experience on Facebook by saying “Survivor USA is setting up now at CARAMOAN, shooting will start by March… get the chance to have a glimpse of it.”

That the show would be filmed in Caramoan, in the Camarines Sur province, was reported two years ago, when a government official revealed that in a newspaper report—although the paper reported it in an odd way, saying that CBS’ version “would also be filmed here next year until 2012.” That, of course, wasn’t true, and the “until 2012” made little sense; it’s likely there were discussions back then, perhaps even with SEG tentatively reserving filming slots for 2012.

After talking to my friend who is at CamSur (Camarines Sur) right now for a client call (he works for an IT company in Manila), he said he's at the Survivor Base Camp.

My jaw dropped out of envy. I asked him to take pics but he said his digicam is taken and even his fone is not supposed to be used to take pics. A survivor crew is always with him. He said March 18 is a start of something for Survivor USA and he's there to supply a computer hardware and install it (something to do with fiberoptics). Anyway after this, I immediately googled Survivor 25 and it led me to this:

http://www.starmometer.com/2012/03/11/survivor-season-25-and-26-location-caramoan-islands-philippines/

here's a pic of the Caramoan Islands

and this:

http://www.rickey.org/survivor-seasons-25-and-26-to-be-filmed-in-caramoan-islands-philippines/

I hope this is true.

Yeah I hope so too.

BTW I just checked with my friend.

He said he was asked to terminate the old connection and installed a new one using fiberoptics from the GOTA resort to the Survivor bosses' stations. He said he'd been to the Tribal Council set/location and he tried to pull out his Fone to take pics but the crew with him didn't allow him to even use his fone.

He was escorted to and from the set onboard a speedboat and wasn't able to take a single picture. He was only able to take his experience to make me envious for life.  :'(

Confirmation from local press:

http://www.bicolmail.com/issue/2012/jan19/xmarch.html

The Survivor USA shoot will be the thirteenth season series of the globally broadcast reality show after Caramoan’s exotic settings repeatedly caught the eye and fancy of Survivor franchisees from several countries ever since Gota Village Resort opened in 2008.

Makes sense - they were going to shoot the sixth season there, but had to quickly change to the Amazon after landslides in the area. And hopefully if this is true, it means we might also get Jordan (replaced with Marquesas after 9/11) at some point.

Looks like a great and beautiful location and Survivor: Caramoan Islands sounds good in my ears!! :hrt: :hrt: :hrt: :hrt:

But do we know if it is one or two seasons there? Jeff Probst have to go back for the Survivor: One World Reunion show. And in the last three years they have started in end may to mid September. Gonna be funny to see if they do Survivor: Winners Edition or Survivor: Phillipines for season 25 or 26?
Love The Amazing Race, The Apprentice and Survivor.

Basically saying that it might be All Stars, but less memorable(I think they pull that card every time an All Star is spec'd lol, though since UB aired I think its possible)

Bring back Parvati

DEF returning Teams. But more of a second chances/Unfinished Business I think. Survivors who either got screwed badly or screwed themselves badly. NOT a classic AllStars.

This is PURE SPECULATION, but...

Show content
Mike Skupin from Survivor: Australian Outback would be PERFECT for a second chances season! :hearts:

quoting from the link: "Production on Survivor’s 25th and 26th seasons will take place about three months earlier next year than it usually takes place. The next two seasons will be filmed in March and April, and then May and June. "

March 18 is the date my friend gave me as the start of "something" when he went to the set of Survivor. It has begun.

We need a wishlist thread

My Wishes: Rob Cesternino(screwed on Chapera), Danielle Dilorenzo(had a clear game to f3 and tore it all apart at just 1 TC), Jenna Morasca(Mother Died :(), Julie Berry(bottom of an alliance), Natalie Bolton(goddess taken out bottom of the alliance) & Ashley Underwood(goddess whos allies turned on her)

but we should KNOW that the following people will be back:

Rupert & Colby (being pagonged)
Russell(got screwed on RI)

which surprisingly I wouldnt mind them being back.
