They're incredibly strong (paired with teams who are very prone to errors), which actually surprised me (I thought they'd be gone by Ep 3 pre-show).

But they are A-N-N-O-Y-I-N-G (or at least, their edits).
Currently on hiatus. If you need to urgently reach me, you can send me an email :D

Do y'all know that they are having viewing parties to benefit retired and injured Border Patrol Agents??

These are nice guys. Competitive, hard core yes, but nice.

They're clearly great guys outside the race.

I just wish I could feel the same way about them during the race, but I don't think that's going to happen...
I'd rather walk alone than let them throw dirty confetti. ♥

I started out not liking this team because I felt that they were arrogant. But then I realized that feeling came entirely from what they had to say during the interviews, not from anything they did while racing. (Not the talks with Phil on the mat, but the interviews one can find on the website)

Here's the thing - during the interviews, we only hear a team's responses. We never hear what question came before the response. And a clever interviewer can elicit just about any answer the interviewer wants, based on how a question is phrased and other techniques. So I'm thinking "a little bit cocksure of themselves" is part of the persona the producers want this team to portray.

I think with this team we have a sterling example of "actions speak louder than words", and I have revised my opinion and now appreciate them.

Beautifully said. I can tell you without a doubt that production can be incessant getting that right soundbite.

JJ seems the loudest of the two and sees himself as the leader of the group, at least that's what the editing suggests.

Thoughts on Art and JJ

1) Little big-headed, if not obnoxiously cocky. This is a bit of a turnoff, but they seem a little nice. Right?   :inocent:

2) I'm not a person that goes apecrap when make 4+ wins or something. I actually get confused and slightly annoyed when people root for the underdogs. Bill and Cathi, Dave and Cherie, Mel and Mike, and others I just couldn't stand. I root for top dogs only! Well, and nice people. Nice people work for me too.  :hrt:

In response to their "2nd place equating to a win on a FF leg" claim, this is what came to mind:

after these guys gave Bopper and Mark $5000, they gained my respect

but after Leg 7, i realised they're not gonna change, they are arrogant and cocky and they just want to make trouble

I like how they race with intensity but they are a bit very obnoxious sometimes every second they are on screen and try to create frictions and drama between other teams while acting like they want to stay out of it all.. .

:res:

I loved it when one of them (forgot whom) made a remark about not being on the race with his wife for the reason Dave and Rachel were being on each others case (basically both Dave and Rachel were to blame there), but then got into a fight with each other too and ended up losing to them.

So much for that logic.. Felt good to see them slipping up and eat their words for a change. (For however brief it may last...  )

I already dislike them and today's episode and insider clips just reinforces it.  Trying to turn Bopper & Mark against Brenchel and Nary & Jamie and into a 4-team alliance was disgusting.  Stirring up drama with the other teams and butting their heads into every situation was completely unnecessary.  On top of that, they whine whenever another teams beats them at something or "follows" them.  These two should've been cast on Survivor instead.  Nothing would make me happier than to see them blindsided at a tribal council.  Just plain cocky and insufferable.   :res:

ever-growing egos and cocky attitudes

+

Hypocrisy ("we don't want to be involved in the drama", yet they put themselves in the middle of the Brandon/Rachel and Vanessa/Ralph debacle and also tried to stir up drama against Nary and Jaime who are sweet women from what we see)

+

Strong performance with numerous (undeserving) wins

=

Frustration!  (:;)(:;)(:;)(:;)(:;)(:;)(:;)(:;)(:;)(:;)(:;)(:;)
(not even sharing their money with the country boys makes up for it)

Oh, I think they deserved their wins, especially since two legs got them in several hours before the next team.

But two teams this season will make fans of the show implode if they win: Art & J.J. and Brendon & Rachel, so one of them has to win. It's been a long time since a strong male team has won (not counting international seasons), so I'm rooting for these two.
