Haven't seen anything from Murtz either but I do know he was at the cast finale dinner in NYC last night. Both he and Cindy Chaing tweeted a pic of the menu.

I know, he was talking to Sandy too.

Maybe he gave up since he was wrong last year.

This is quite interesting:

Back in Denmark and with 6 teams left, Phil asked Ernie & Cindy which two teams they'd want to be in the Final Three with. They decided that the easiest competition would be Amani & Marcus and Jeremy & Sandy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVh0oPOsjPg&feature=sh_e_se&list=SL

Be careful what you wish for.  The edit also focused on Cindy's relentless desire to win every leg.

Last episode, Sandy commented that one only needs to win the last leg.

Has anybody seen Murtz Jaffer's prediction yet? :duno: I can't find it.

He hasn't posted it yet and usually does a few hours prior to the airing.

Yes, he got it wrong last season for the first time in history of all reality shows that he post predictions. He has been right ever since with the other shows.

If he does post his prediction today, I will post it here.

Who's Nancy?!

A racer from TAR 1 who passed away yesterday. Her and her daughter was a beloved F/F team who made it in 5th place.  If you haven't watched TAR 1 DO IT! It's really a great season.

Emily's mother (that was the team, Nancy & Emily) passed away?  That's such a shame!  How did Nancy die?

Thanks kiki! I'm going to have to do that! I've never seen TAR1 I guess it'd be interesting to see how it began!
My condolences go to Nancy's family, sorry to hear that!

Not even one second of any new footage from the next leg......they are trying really hard to keep it all under wraps this time.

Maybe because if they show something, it may be too evindent who will win?? :cmas5
In Peach's video, we don't see Cindy and Jeremy (?) at the final Roadblock together, so maybe theres a big gap between them??

Agreed, Squall.

Did Marcus and Amani even do the map task or were they told to just proceed directly to the finish line?

They were headed to the map task the last time we saw them, so I assume they did it; had they been short-circuited to the final mat, I think we've would have been told.

That map task was pretty cool, but pales to the greatness of TAR 12's Memory Scale Roadblock, TAR 13's epic cluebox memory task, TAR 14's Surfboard roadblock, and even TAR 9's Flag arranging roadblock
Bring on the 21!

kevint2010,

I agree with you. The map task was pretty pale. It could be completed quickly, which Cindy and Ernie did and Jeremy and Sandy also did.

I attempted to redo what Ernie/Cindy and Jeremy/Sandy were forced to do regarding an Internet search of "The Dump". I tried the following under the following search topics in www.google.com:
"the Dump"
"The Dump" and Atlanta

Only when I added the word "residence" after Atlanta did the right answer come up on the first page of the search results.  If they did not do that, then those 2 teams would have had to get lucky in advice from locals (which is the way Ernie/Cindy got the lead and why Jeremy/Sandy fell into 2nd place).

I think Ernie & Cindy may have called someone who could look it up on the Internet.  I'm not sure.  If they did, that might be how they got the lead.

Belle Book:
Does it matter who actually did the Internet research or what search engine they used? Most other search engines use similar algorithms to what Google does and should have obtained approximately the same results. The key was using the word "residence" in the search string and not who did the search or what search engine they used.

First one that came up (and many others) after "the dump atlanta georgia" was keyed in was -

Quote
The Dump - Atlanta
www.thedump.com/stores_atlanta.html... Marcus Blvd. Atlanta, GA 30324; Telephone: 404.442.1900 ... We dump everything that gets between you and the best bargains in the business. We don't pay ...

So apparently, Ernie and Cindy had enough sense to figure out that there's not where they're going.

The clue used "former residence;" and I would think a competent internet search would have used both terms.

IIRC, when Cindy went behind the fromt desk to look at the computer screen, it seems as if the answer (Margaret Mitchell House) was on that first screen.

I think the finale episode is so dull. I only like the first few minutes of it, when they all arrived in the flight simulation task.
It seems that the TAR finale episode is getting duller as season goes by.

Anyway

Does anyone know what Cindy dials for information? Coz I could really use that number.
Oh Brian, I can't wait til after dinner. Cos then we'll go home and you can watch me have my period.

If you use the search strings "the Dump" AND "former Atlanta residence" now (not back on July 10 before all the articles on the Amazing Race started to appear) what you get on the first page results is only one reference to Margaret Mitchell House in Wikipedia. That's good enough that I would have gone with it.

They were headed to the map task the last time we saw them, so I assume they did it; had they been short-circuited to the final mat, I think we've would have been told.

Marcus and Amani discussed the largely unseen portions of their final leg here:

http://blogs.ajc.com/radio-tv-talk/2011/12/12/marcus-pollard-blames-his-big-feet-and-fear-of-flying-to-losing-the-amazing-race/?cxntlid=thbz_hm

They did do the task at the Margaret Mitchell House (Marcus says he struggled with the typing and wasn't sure how long it took). They knew The Dump department store and avoided that pitfall. They also said they solved Hank Aaron clue quickly. Marcus also did the map task and said he wasn't as fast as Cindy because they were "B students".

Also, Marcus blamed the flight simulator errors due to being too big for the cockpit and his feet being too big for the foot pedals. Being tense and afraid of flying didn't help either.

I read in interviews that it was around 1 hour, and another hour between 2nd and 3nd. :cmas11
