My dream is that they would visit Falkland Islands or Venezuela maybe?
Yes!! The Falklands has been on my wish list too!

I most recently went there on my fantasy race (some of you know this ;)), and I had to place teams on charter flights because not even FlightStats had ANY flights there. Trouble with transport to the islands could be why they've never been there.

But nonetheless, I think they should go there as well because there is some great scenery!
Physics alone is not enough.

Those who forget history are sure to repeat it.

Prophet,
I think your general comment about plane service to islands is true, particularly to smaller islands as there is plenty is service to Hawaii, Jamaica, New Zealand, Puerto Rico and the larger islands . More important, even if a route exists into a specific smaller island, the frequency of service is a major concern.   Yes, this is the major reason why we don't see more small islands. The Amazing Race has been to each of the islands I cited above and to Hawaii and New Zealand multiple times.

I'm sure you know this, but FlightStats does not own or operate any planes. They just report on future and historical flight information.

The Falkland islands does have regular flights. There are two flights every Saturday. One LAN flight from Santiago via Punta Arenas (or Rio Gallegos) and one RAF flight from the UK (which makes a stopover at Ascension).

The low frequency of flights mean that it is unlikely the race will visit except by using Charter flights.

I would love to see this route:

Los Angeles, CA - Salta, Argentina
Salta, Argentina - Buenos Aires, Argentina
Buenos Aires, Argentina - Ascuncion, Paraguay
Ascuncion, Paraguay - Pisa, Italy (did they ever visit the tower of Pisa'?)
Pisa, Italy - Turin, Italy
Turin, Italy - Bled, Slovenia (I've been there, it's absolutely amazing, they could do a Roadblock where one team member has to ride a pletna to the island)
Bled, Slovenia - Harbin, China
Harbin, China - Ulaan Bataar, Mongolia
Ulaan Bataar, Mongolia - Christchurch, New Zealand (my uncle lives here)
Christchurch, New Zealand - Incervargill, New-Zealand
Incervargill, New-Zealand - Quebec-City, Canada
Quebec City, Canada - Boston, USA (they could drive to there)
