Paldog is good at predicting TAR in games. Look at his first race and it's similarity to TAR 19.

Not sure where to put this but for some reason TVGuide has an unusual amount of info already about the Azerbaijan leg.

Quote
The race continues in Azerbaijan where teams take part in a helicopter evacuation training exercise. At a Detour, teams must scrub excess oil off of some very hairy bathers.

That detour sounds quite gross!

Paldog's prediciton leg on TAR Design challenge 2 game almost had it... He put the oil bath thing in a Detour...

That wasn't mine... I am pretty sure it was Mug's. I did the far-fetched Osaka leg.

And yes, I predicted TAR 19. :lol3:

 :wohoo:

Glad Bretchel and Federal Agents (supposedly) make it to F3, but maybe Mark and Bopper instead of Art And JJ. Just for the heart.

Based on the evidence I am 99% sure it is:

Art-J.J.
Rachel-Dave     1 2 and 3 any order
Brendon-Rachel

Vanessa-Ralph   4 or 5

Nary-Jamie        4 5 or 6

Mark-Bopper     4 5 or 6

Joey-Danny      7 and 8 any order
Kerri-Stacy

Now that I know that Brenchel is in top3 and as much as I love them and am so happy they are on the show because I stopped watching last season at F4 didn't care for teams or who won the race. The Big head border patrol and the boring rachel team are my least favorite teams and I would think this season a bust if any of those teams win over Brenchel.I'm just waiting until I can read spoiler on who won the race.

I would speculate that the F3 consists of Team Army, Team Border Patrol, and Team Big Brother

Oh whoops.  :nm:

I mistook Nary and Jamie for Team Army on Prophet's post. Guess we have to keep our hopes down for a all-female win this season.

Unless TAR wants to give us a huge surprise, I unfortunantly think that we will probably not see Israel this time around.

Since it is such a unique country (and wanted to be seen by a TON of people), they probably would have had it in the press release.

My spec. is that Tanzania is this season's no-break leg. Then we only need South America with a no-break leg!!!!

I seriously doubt the Race would have filmed in Uganda, it's one of the three countries still dealing with the Kony rebellion.

Uganda would be pure spec at this point. As apskip has suggested a country in Asia previously visited by the Race is likely or a double leg in Japan.

Or how about double leg in India?

Two legs in Japan make more sense  to me...since we know they possibly went to Kyoto and Osaka from intro

Last season, teams only spent one leg in Panama before heading to Atlanta.

As I recall south India (which IIRC is the speculated locale) has been a little more difficult to fly out of than other parts of India with more numerous international connections. It would make sense to me for two legs to be filmed there (with a minimum pit stop) and that would allow the legs to be laid out in a way to get teams on flights to Japan.

The other thing about Japan is that the producers would want flights that are direct towards Osaka (again the speculated locale) so as to avoid the areas north and northeast of Tokyo which were heavily damaged by the earthwuake, tsunami, and nuclear disaster. That, presumably means the teams would likely be going to an international airport on the west coast of Japan.

Is there a way I can disagree more with the schnauzer's hypothesis about airports in the western coast of Japan being used. First, you have to establish a distance criterion for how far away a city can be from Osaka and still be usable given Japan's excellent rail system. Here is a list of Japan west coast cities of reasonable size:

Sapporo (Hokkaido Island and long way from anywhere)
Nagasaki (Kyushu Island and a long way from Osaka)
Fukuoka (Kyushu Island and a long way from Osaka)
Niigata (I've never even heard of this city before, so what kind of an international airport could it have as the 14th most populous city in Japan?)

Let's contrast the above places to the ones on the east coast I consider most reasonable and logical:
Tokyo - Narita
Osaka - Kansai
Nagoya
Sendai - the only one that was genuinely impacted by the nearby earthquake and nuclear disaster

There is also two other places which are on neither coast:
Hiroshima
Nagano

My thesis is that the east coast airport are many times biggest and busier than the west coast airports, the west coast airports are all a very long way from Osaka and the serious damage within Japan did not extend as far southwest as Narita. I say that entry to Japan was most likely through Osaka-Kansai airport and if not then Narita.

Two legs in Japan are more probable than 2 in India... why that?
