If Ernie and Cindy struggled this episode, then they would have focused abit on it? :duno:

Right now, the two teams whom I can see getting U-TURN are Andy and Tommy and Zac and Laurence... I don't know? This season teams seemed like TAR 13 where all of them are like on extremely good terms with each other... I'm not even sure both U-TURNs will be used.

An iPad enabled double U-Turn! I knew there was an app for that!

edit: not an iPad but some sort of touchscreen iPad wannabe

I was just going to say that it looks like Laurence & Zac are effecting the U-Turn of Marcus & Amani.

Also notice that they are using the second U-Turn.  So some other Team has already done one U-turn

What I can't figure out is why they would U-Turn them over someone else. ??? Unless they are the only team behind them...

Previously, the Teams would pull out their team photo from their fanny pack and post that in the "U-Turned by" position.  Once they use that picture (or even if they lose it!) they cannot U-Turn another Team.  The smaller iPad screen is now where they identify themselves.

I wonder if the Teams can now U-Turn more than once during the Race?  Or does the next iPad know they are U-Turn depleted?   :duno:

I suppose Laurence & Zac could be the first team U-Turned and are U-Turning another team in turn to greater their chances at surviving the leg.

Ferrying people on a bike must be the roadblock. Performed by: Sandy, Laurence, Cathi, Andy, Jennifer, Marcus. Ernie and Cindy are the only team not shown doing it ??? Cindy needs to do a RB, that should be interesting.

I think the roadblock should be after the Detour. For one thing they almost always are in U-turn legs. Secondly, Andy and Tommy find out in the pitstart clue that there is a W-turn. Also, because it looks like the roadblock is in the city they could come back there for it and the pitstop after performing the Detour and Speedbump at the lake.

I forgot! a puzzling patriotic Roadblock causes one team to fall behind

Confusion... Maybe she is looking for something after the bike portion of it?

Found this:

Quote
The Bwato Race

This is an annual canoeing race that involves the local fishermen in and around Mangochi. Multichoice Malawi are the main sponsors of this race. Currently, plans are underway to make this a national event by involving the fishermen from all the beaches on Lake Malawi (from Karonga to Mangochi)

Maybe a recreation? This one was Oct 17...

It doesn't seem like L/Z decide to U-Turn M/A, at least to me. It seems like they're talking and figuring out how to use it, possibly deciding whether TO U-Turn M/A (after looking again and again at that part of the promo, I couldn't see any type of screen change from Zac pressing it) or possibly deciding on another team.

Maybe Andy's bicycle breaking helps to do them in, as I really think they'd be U-Turned. Plus, with Cindy running as fast as she can while saying, "Please let us win!" they'd be my second choice as to flush out the EP.

[/random misplaced(?) speculation]

Zac is pointing a team. Is it their team or Jeremy & Sandy? Maybe one of them were u-turned?  :duno:

If Zac and Laurence U Turn Amani and Marcus it's just another reason for me to hate them.  :duno:

Who do you all think that is in cap 40? If it is Jennifer, then we see them doing 2 Detours. :(

BUT...to me it looks like that their canoe is tippimg over, so it could be by choice as well. :duno:

But on review...guess it is Amani??

And what would Marcus be so pissed about at the Detour? He is clearly NOT happy...is this their second Detour or is it something else? ???

maybe we dont see ernie and cindy doing the RB bc they used the EP on the RB??

I'm gonna make an early prediction and say that cindy and ernie win their first leg, not counting the premiere.  they are a strong team.  i think the others' view them as strong but not great, which wouldnt prompt them to use the uturn on the them.

my guess is that the detour comes first.  a team or 2 finishes before ernie and cindy and choose not to uturn them.  then comes the rb. ernie and cindy uses the EP on the RB and are hoping they win the leg bc they assume a team ahead of them is almost or already done with the RB.

Looks like Amani to me.

It seems like the first U-Turn was used because Zac & Laurence had their fingers on the bottom set of iPads. They pointed at the top one but they didn't use it... It looks like Zac was pointing towards their own picture on the top iPad. I would guess that Zac & Laurence were U-Turned so then they use the U-Turn on a team behind them, which I guess would explain why Marcus wasn't too happy at the detour.
