there is the mention of "400something".  The actual answer is 504, as in 504 buddha statues.

From what I can see in the preview, looks like the Roadblock task is located in Borobudur Temple..

Good thinking. That may be what they're doing.

It looks like the Detour is the bikes or the carrying bags. The counting was obviously the Roadblock.

This looks definitely harder than the "Count the Buddhas" Roadblock in Shanghai.

It is possible, based on the pictures Eddieshi put up, that they could be counting a specific type of statue, since there are several different types in the pictures.

I didnt say this yet, but it could possibly be shanghai all over again!!! there are 504 buddha statues, but there is also a main platform surrounded by 72 buddha statues seated inside a perforated stupa. idk if those 72 are part of the 504 or if they are in addition to the 504.  if it is part of the 504, that could be where the "400something" factors in...they couldve been missing the 72.

According to wikipedia in Borobodur there are 504 Buddha statues but 43 of those are missing that means that there is only the base of them.

From the preview I can see Bill, Ernie, Lisa, Marcus and Marie(?) doing the Roadblock. Lisa and Marie may be working together.

Is Ernie and Cindy's bike pedal the mechanical problem? Would that take that long to fix? I was thinking it was someone's car.

There is a task involving "sepeda onthel" a typical old fashioned Dutch bicycle commonly thought of as Yogyakarta's traditional bicycle... we should be able to figure out the costume they are wearing.

And yes, I also think this must be the mechanical failure...

I've looked for that uniform, maybe some of our Indonesian friends can help?

My guess is mail carrier, private courier, or in the category of police/ranger.

I guess the bike pedal will let a few teams pass or something but not have a huge effect. Although Ernie doesn't have any other racers in his shot at the RB.

Are Bill and Cathi carrying hay? Or is that a cornfield?

TPTB do seem to be recycling variations of some challenging tasks this season. The cave in episode 2, the counting the Buddhas (similar to a task in the Netherlands?) for episode three, and I'm wondering if they're headed back towards that famous leg 11 (Chicken Island) from season 1 now that CBS has confirmed a leg in Phuket. It does seem like they've pulled out a combo of "extreme" challenges for this season, doesn't it?
