Did anybody hear when the episode title was said and by whom?

It must have been Keylani, but I didn't hear it anywhere.

She said it at LAX.  :)

Did anyone else notice at the boat task one of the teams (I believe the snowboarders) had their clue showing at it looked yellow. I am guessing everyone chose the same detour so it was edited of the episode.

I could be wrong though.  :duno:
I think you are wrong. It was a general task. They had a ROADBLOCK, which seldom happens on any FIRST Amazing Race leg, and compensated by having no DETOUR this leg.

Season 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 had roadblocks....

Dumb question: how did they get this shot?

A growing theory:
They had to re-shoot the drive off after it was relayed that a passport was lost.
They called in a crew, note the big white Ford van that is suddenly in place where there was a family van seconds earlier.
They used somebody else's passport (crew member), it's not Kaylani's as noted by someone else here earlier.
Shadows indicate it was 10 to 30 min later

More to share:

When Kaylani & Lisa park at the gas station they are just inches away from Ryan's green car.

It was probably rather difficult to exit their Explorer.  We do see Lisa squeezing out.

Kaylani may have had trouble when she got out too.

Kaylani gets back into the Explorer from the righthand side when they leave.  Had she gotten in from the lefthand side she would have seen the fallen passport.

But it was such a squeeze that she went for the righthand door.

REDSKEVIN,
You are correct if focusing on the recent past, as all Amazing Races from 14 forward have a ROADBLOCK. as you indicated. However, no ROADBLOCK in the first leg was a norm for most of the earlier Amazing Races:
2
3
5
6
7
8
9
11
13
It's 50% none and 50% one ROADBLOCK for the first 18 races. That is not "seldom" as I thought.

Certain things are, yes. But this is what you get in reality TV where the outcome and events are unpredictable.

Let me just say the way you all figure this stuff out is AMAZING!  :gj:

I was so happy to see that it was a non elimination.  I wish they would do the first leg like this every time.  I think it gives all teams a better chance to figure it out.

Looking forward to another great season!  :wohoo:

I have to say the episode was very good, if a little rushed, and I am all for these teams! And also, I think AR is one of the least staged Reality shows, actually, I mean sometimes they have to stretch the truth to get the shots they need (like the passport shot) but I truly believe that it is not to a huge extent, most is not, and is very much based on what happens to teams in the race!

Yeah, even some of the other more reputable shows are more open to "rigging" by production than TAR. It's one of the only shows that throws people out in the real world and is unpredictable in circumstances.

A second passport video.

For those wondering...the reason it took a little time for Ryan to leave for the airport...it was because when he was contacted he was right in the middle of showing and selling his car.

When he grasped the urgency involved, he left that abruptly, ran home, took a few seconds to grab a clean shirt, and a friend to drive with him in case there was no time to park at LAX, and then rushed to LAX.

No conspiracy. No rigging. Just a VERY nice man willing to put his real life on hold to help a stranger. TAR was blessed that the passport finder was Ryan.

georgiapeach:  Have you discussed on this board yet the role of you and @walkingpneumoni on June 18 on Twitter?  From looking at RyanStorms's Twitter feed, it seems as though there was also some non-public communication between you two.

What were your thoughts while all this was going on?  Did any of the TAR people ever contact you?  I haven't seen anything about this in your recent postings.  However, I've been afraid to look too deeply in the spoiler threads.

This must be correct. If I were a cameraman and I noticed a contestant had dropped her passport, and I know this is going to make a great storyline for TV, getting a shot of the passport would be the least of my worries. If the cameraman spent even a couple of moments pointing his camera at the floor, the chance of one of the girls noticing and getting her passport back would be too great a risk.

We know the editing team aren't afraid to mix around shots (or in this case, stage them), but if it helps with the story, I think its harmless.
