Veto Question
« on: September 01, 2011, 07:53:41 AM »
Say Adam won the veto last night and used it.....who would have been nominated?

Since the veto user cant be nominated...and Rachel and Jordan couldnt be renominated...

What would have happened?

The nomination would stay the same.Adam would not be so stupid to use it and put himself up the block and there is also no pair left.

OK it was a what if scenario.  Not would Adam do it scenario.  Adam could not be put up as the rules say the player using veto could not be put up.

So my question was say he did win and was dumb enough to use it...would Shelley and Kalia then be put on the block?

No.Kalia is safe as she is partner with the HOH. Shelly is partner with Adam so she is safe. So Adam CANNOT use the veto.

So you are saying Big Brother would not let him use the Veto....Is that fact or just an opinion?

If he won the veto, he could use it though he would be up. Its similar to Brendon winning and saving Rachel. He still is in the danger zone.

No Brendan was in danger as he was already on the block.

The rules say if the veto holder uses the veto they can not be a replacement nominee.  Seems like no one would be avialable to nominate.

Okay....If Adam win the veto, he cannot use it.So thats to follow the 'veto winner cannot be up on the block' rule.

Again I ask is that opinion or the rule?
Seems like if Adam would have stayed in an alliance with Jordan and Rachel and won he would have wanted to take them off.....Again all speculation since it didnt happen...but was curious if it would have happened....

Maybe thats why the challenge was an endurance as they knew Adam had no chance.

It is most probably a rule.

OK,  serious question here. Please help me out.
If Adam or Shelly won POV, and both agreed to take down Rachel and Jordan (duo effect) (and I know they wouldn't have) but if they did...
Who would have ended up on the block?  You can't be a replacement nom if you have the veto and you can't be nom'd if you're HOH.
So Adam/Shelly were Veto holders, Rachel/Jordan were removed from the block and Porsche/Kalia were HOH. Who would have gone up BB?  :duno:
I asked that the other day and this was the answer that satisfied my curiosity...
It works the same as the final Veto, when there are only 4 players.  1 is HOH, 2 are nominated, 1 is safe.
If the person who is already safe wins the veto, it is void.
