Amazing Race Applications! Ongoing apps...

They're doing the auditions at a casino. But why would they have them at the shops of all things? Ballrooms busy on that day? I've been there (live in CT), so I know how not-so-huge the shops are to begin with.
A good set of ballrooms/convention halls aren't too far from there.

"The Amazing Race," the long-running CBS game show that follows contestants as they hustle around the world, complete weird tasks, and sabotage each other along the way, is holding an open casting call on Saturday, February 11 in Santa Clara, California.
The audition, which begins at 10 a.m., takes place at the Travel & Adventure Adventure Show at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
To give it a shot, interested duos must sign up at CBS Local to to gain admittance to the audition, by registering their name, birth date, phone number, and email for the event.
Per the eligibility requirements, preferred contestants will be outgoing, strong-willed, physically and mentally adept, adventurous, and have interesting lifestyles or careers.
Following the casting, host Phil Keoghan will also be signing autographs.

Well, if they doing apps now, maybe they will start filming in like August? After S29 and maybe even after TAR Canada 5???

They may be taking apps for TAR 31 and beyond. If they film this spring, it's late in the cycle to be finding people. They probably already have a good idea who most of the potential participants will be.

This is the casting thread. Please take filming spec to the TAR 30 thread.
As stated multiple times before, there has not been any evidence for a Jan filming at all.
Also you have to remember that open casting calls cannot be counted as actual casting. They are often done solely for location publicity purposes. This one is sponsored by Taiwan and is at the Travel show. It does appear more legitimate than some, but we need further info.
