Wijilan
Plengkung Wijilan located east of Yogyakarta Palace. Plengkung in the Indonesian language could also be called a gate or gates. Plengkung Wijilan is a palace gate located on the eastern side of Yogyakarta Palace.

Well, if that's true maybe they'll run into Michelle and the girls. That would be an interesting cameo!

Start Leg 3 right now?

Apparently so, teams are looking for Ngasem Bird Market, and Borobudur (as I expected) will be visited for Leg 3! Johannesburg, South Africa a possible location after that...

I really want to know who the two booted teams are...!!

Songwe Village would be awesome, and the giant swing that teams had to ride in one of the Detours.

Even better would be a Switchback of the first Roadblock in TAR history.

This is all speculation, of course

We would ALL love a first leg switchback to celebrate the ten year reunion. But this is SPEC only. Don't forget the "beautiful beaches"!

So for the third leg does anyone know if the pitstop is near Borobudor or do they come all the way back to Jogja for that?
Physics alone is not enough.

Or even a visit to the Victoria Falls is spectacular and commemoratively enough. Though I doubt it (IDK why, gut tells me so). :(

I would be happy with however the season panned out if they opened a clue directing them to "The smoke that thunders"

And having the original greeter/Mat and Anna on hand to greet teams.

A comment regarding the course structure for this season as it relates to the number of episodes and the number of legs for the fall season broadcasts. I hadn't realized that the Emmys were going to be aired on Sunday September 18th (FOX has them this year). That means the earliest TAR 19 would very likely premiere is September 25th. An 11 episode season with out breaks would take it to December 4th; if there is a skipped week for country music awards as there was last fall, IIRC, then that would point to December 11th, and a 12-episode run would point to December 11th. Unless, there is a two hour episode lurking in the schedule somewhere. The question is whether CBS is planning Chrismastime programming on December 18th. If so, then Survivor has to have December 11th for its finale, and TAR 18 would have to finish on December 4th.  You see where I'm headed with this? That may mean this this time around, they had to structure the race course for either 11 legs and episodes to finish on December 4th, or there's going to be a two-hour, two-leg finale (for a 12 leg race) as TAR:UB was.

Just throwing that speculation out there because it does become relevant for live sightings later on in the filming. It may also explain why there was a double elimination this season.

Given their location, I presume that the Elimination Station this season will once again be Ko Samui, Thailand. They probably are going to use the same place as they did for S18. And a like last season, they probably won't be filming it.
