Leg 1 - California -> Taiwan
Leg 2 - Taiwan -> Jakarta
Leg 3 - Jakarta -> Makioboro

my guess is maybe 5 or 6 new countries? maybe? right?

Please, go to my country, the Philippines for Leg 4 and/or 5! *cross my finger and let this typhoon Falcon get out* :tup:

So the teams were seen at Malioboro mall, Fort/Musem Vredburg and the Kraton. (If this is the Kraton meant then it is almost the same place as the Fort so it is probably just a RI after the detour)

As you can see these locations are very close together so they probably went somewhere else for the RB and Pitstop. Maybe some of my locations are wrong? Please correct if they are.

Borobudur is an hour from there so they could go there for the pitstop or something.

i think it is...here is a tweet

doi lg ngitung molen di burjo ni RT @riezaptr: Yang di jogja, NBA Legend Karl Malone lg di jogja yakk Amazing Race. Inpooo dooong
16 minutes ago

translation: he's counting molen (a dessert) at Burjo RT @riezaptr To people at Yogya, is it true NBA legend Karl Malone is doing Amazing Race in Yogya? Info please.

I think he's not sure himself. Probably got the tip from here :)

Could this mean teams were seen doing a task involving counting desserts? There is a place called Burjo Coffee in Jogja.  :duno:

So I guess leg 2 should be over.  Did we lose them at the pitstop or do we have info about when the next leg should be starting and where they might be going?

Lots of tweets around noon - 2 pm Jogja time, but not much follow-up.  (Not complaining, just anxious to find out more.)

Let's start looking ahaead a little...

Assuming teams checked in about 12 hours ago...it is possible that the PitStart could take place from anytime now onwards...as we know, PitStops are no longer a standard time though, so that could be almost anytime!! Current time in Yog is 219 AM Thurs 6/23.

IF the rumored overheard go to Borobudur is correct...let's start thinking how long it takes to get there... and then IF-- BIG IF---They do go to "beautiful beaches" Bali then here are the flights available: Two 8PM ones seem possible??

DPS Denpasar Bali GA 250    Garuda Indonesia 8:00 AM

DPS Denpasar Bali RI 579    Mandala Airlines 11:40 AM

DPS Denpasar Bali GA 252    Garuda Indonesia 4:15 PM

DPS Denpasar Bali GA 254    Garuda Indonesia 8:00 PM

DPS Denpasar Bali JT* 568    Lion Airlines 8:40 PM

It is beginning to look as though a second leg outside of Yogyakarta MIGHT be possible...which would mean a chance for Borobudur!!! :hearts:

I had to miss Borobudur when I was in Indonesia, so I am HOPING hard they might go there!! As one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites, it would be a visual treasure.

I wanted to respond to a comment in the live sightings thread that suggested that because it's now the 23rd in Indonesia, that information about the leg 2 pit stop was safe to post.

It isn't, first, because as Peach noted above, pit stops no longer have a standard length (anywhere for 0 to 24 or more hours, as determined by production in planning the Race) and second because the actual time differences between Jakata, Indonesia and U.S. East Coast is 11 hours with DST, (for me it's 12 hours ahead being in the US central time zone. Can I suggest we don't just look at the calendar, but at the clock?

Could the 'beautiful beaches' be in Lombok, perhaps? We've had two different editions visit there recently, so there's precedent for safe travel there, plus from a production standpoint it's less crowded so perhaps there's less of a chance for spoilers (:snicker:) plus, with the smaller airport there's a better chance for teams to be on the same flight.

If we're seeing tweets mentioning helicopters, it makes me think of the 'roo suit running task last season in Broken Hill or the task in Lichtenstein. Hmm. Tuk-tuks maybe? (All my speculation haven't seen anything more than the references to helicopters.)
