We also have a transportation thread for detailed flights and all!

Blondes look very much like twins. Poor older team, hope they can survive this so called double elimination...

The tricky part would be going to the right station so they can catch the 5 pm departure. I doubt many Indonesians they encounter at the plane or airport can tell them which station has the best departures to Yogya. Although luckily for them, Gambir is the most prominent station out of the two, so it's likely they're pointed into that direction.

Maybe the route info clue actually points them to an specific station, where they'll have to buy the tickets for the train.

Wow, so they're heading to Jogja instead of Jakarta? It was beyond my expectation! Cause I think Jogja still have some Mt.Merapi issues and TPTB won't decide to go there.. But still, it surprised me!  :wohoo:
About the train station, I think it will be easier for them to take a train from Stasiun Jakarta Kota. First, I think it is closer from Soetta Airport and second, they can take a train wherever they want. Although it is still possible for them to take a train for Gambir..

Oh, if anyone needs some infos about Jogjakarta, just go to this site http://www.yogyes.com/

From FB and in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Is "bandara" referring to the airport? There are also some hotels called this.

The leg that will be completed next will be leg 2, if that helps.

K, thanks

Yes. Bandara means airport. I think he/she is one of TAR production teams from Indonesia

Just a passing comment about team colors.  In past seasons, we've had more than one shade of some colors, such as with blue, green, and red (e.g., pink). I'll let the folks with photos and on the scene take that reminder from there.

This is just a pure speculation, but I think we may see the teams in Jakarta for leg 3, based on a following pattern:

In season 15, teams flew to HCMC, and then take a bus to Cai Be. The next leg, they are back in HCMC.

In season 18, teams flew to Kunming and then take a train/flight to Lijiang. The next leg, they are back in Kunming.

Maybe this pattern will goes on in this season. Just a pure speculation.

Production NEVER advertises their presence. There are serious security concerns by doing so.

That's a good point. I was thinking there might be time for at least a route info in Jakarta, but your ways seems possible. I am hoping for Borobudur myself.

I've been doging severe thunderstorms....and one of them spawned a tornado as it raced away from downtown at 50 mph.....so it has been an interesting evening.

Hence, one question if our friends in Taiwan know.  Who was the greeter? Obviously military or retired military, but that's unusual for the show.  And, it's potentially sensitive with the mainland.

The Martyr's Shrine is famous for it's changing of the guard and is right next to one of their camps (blurred on Google Earth). I think this is one of their commanders?

He's a colonel. It's just a show, so it has nothing to do with the political thing.

Oh no!! Sunderland's delayed??

No need to worry for anyone coming into Jakarta now. They've got a good two hours to get to the train station for the same train. :js:

And then the train arrives in the middle of the night, so I'd dare say we wouldn't be seeing much action until morning Indonesia time...

It's just before 3pm in Jakarta right now. All teams on the direct flights should be able to make it barring some sort of catastrophe.

Well I am now on the tollway in Jakarta, heading to South Jakarta, and I'm stuck. Jams occurring nearly everywhere. If they are using the Tomang toll road, they're in trouble. IDK about the Ancol toll road, when I got to the airport via Ancol toll road, it was disastrous. A lot of trucks and traffic jams.
