« on: June 12, 2011, 11:29:25 PM »
TAR 19 will be starting before long.  :hearts:

As always, per RFF's practices, exact info on teams, locations and especially possible start city will be withheld until it is believed that the teams are safely underway and it is possible to share without jeopardizing anyone's chances.

This thread will be opened as the race gets underway!
RFF's Golden Rule:
Have RESPECT for each other, regardless of opinion. This of course includes no flaming/insulting other users and/or their posts.

We have arrived in Taiwan and everything is going well. It was a heck of a long trip to get here but if the first few hours are an indication of our time here it will be incredible. The people are friendly and the food is awesome. Gwynivere did very well, almost puked at LAX and had a couple of small meltdowns but also got compliments from other passengers for behaving so well on the plane. Melody hates landing

Doubt this guy is on the race, but he may have seen teams? I dunno, just guessing here, lol.

I don't think they have reached Taiwan yet.

American Airlines Flight 80 from DFW is departing to London's Heathrow at 21:30 CDT.
Could it be a connecter flight to someplace else?  :duno: :duno: :duno:

Ugh, I would have been well up for driving up to Heathrow to see if the teams come off the flight. Sods law that I'm out of the country!

And the Dallas sighting, like the JFK sighting is believed to be bogus.

I don't think it is likely they will fly Cathay Pacific for the first leg flight too. JMHO.

So they were supposedly spotted in LAX...why would they fly to Europe?

Other tweets by Twitter poster:

Some of the teams I see got the earlier flight to frankfurt, the others are on my flight this evening!! They won't show me the clue :-(

Teams are really nice (and hot!) but say they'll get in trouble if they pose in a picture with me :( amazing race gonna be awesome

They won't tell me where they're going once we get to Frankfurt but I see some of them have boarding passes for connecting flights.

Funny to see how teams are already forming cliques and some won't even go near the other. Two of these girls must be pageant queens
a few seconds ago

This last one doesn't make sense however...why would they START in Argentina, I think he means first leg in Argentina, but due to volcanic ash had to change race course...?

Crew guy told me they were supposed to start the race in argentina but had to change last minute cause the flights got messed up!

connecting in Frankfurt to somewhere else in Europe makes sense also Africa is a possibility.

New post from this poster on Twitter

posted a few seconds ago -

One team is a married couple...both are "little" people. I think they might be the same ones that had a reality show, but not sure

It could be the Roloffs from here in Oregon.  They had a reality show but they ended the show last year.

Frankfurt is more than likely a connecting point IMHO. But I guess there is no reason not to expect a Germany leg.

My guesses for within Germany: Dusseldorf, Dresden, Stuttgart, Berlin, Hanover, Cologne, Bremen.  Outside Germany: Billund, Copenhagen, Brussels, Luxembourg, Helsinki, Riga, and Belgrade.
