Here:
I spoke to someone on-site during the Kolkata leg, and that person shared two pieces of info with us. The first was posted previously, and that was that Gary-Mallory won this leg. The second is that the eliminated team was the deaf son and his mother, i.e Margie and Luke.

Thanks Chateau!! So...if they are on the way to the Pitstop...where is the Detour challenge? Can we guess?

How do we know this is true? I mean the Gary/Mallory win was right, but how do we know Margie & Luke go?

Rox's map has push pins at Girish Park and a Tea place.  Those are consistent with the approach.

He loves this game and has always played it hard. This must have been a difficult loss.

Wow...two VERY strong teams out in a row....this season is VERY unpredictable.

No it's not. Bet against the TAR 14 teams!  :lol3:  I wouldn't want to be Kisha and Jen!

So Margie & Luke are out.   :(  They weren't my favorite team but I'm really sorry to see Luke have so much trouble with the tea task.

There was something else which indicated that Margie and Luke were probably eliminated, but i wasn't sure to confirm it and it's something personal from Luke... but i'm not surprised.

Thank you kinibug!!  You did a wonderful job getting and confirming this, and now....we have first to last in less than a minute!!

I do feel for Luke though...he has always felt strongly that he was there not only for himself, but to represent the deaf community. I hope he believes that he did his best, and that is all anyone can do!!
So much for TAR 14...and friends...

:lol3: But seriously... it's pretty shocking to have 4/5 of TAR 14 teams eliminated in the first 6 episodes. It's like now we're down to fair level ground again and each season is fairly represented again.

But Margie and Luke.... :'(

The last time I looked, there is no November 31st (and I would have noticed since that was the day I brought Lieb home.)

Second comment: A tea "board" in the parlance of the 18th century would be like a commodity exchange; that was the period in which the British East India Company was taking de facto control of the Indian subcontinent, so the terminology is quite consistent.

Wow, you don't check this board for a few hours and everything turns upside down. It's nice of CBS to post the Snapple promo video before the show airs. I wonder if heads will roll for that.

I used a currency converter and got 1,000,000 rupees = 22,373.87 US Dollars. That might be the largest prize given out on a non-final leg. I can't recall any that were worth more. If you're going to win a prize, cash is a nice one.

I get an exchange rate of 45 rupees/$ for Dec. 1. That means 1,000,000 rupees = $22,222.22, which Plaidmoon2 got extremely close.

One has to wonder if they will actually be paid in rupees. If so then the correct exchange rate to use would be the one on the day that they convert it.
Even if they are paid in American dollars they may not be awarded the money until after the season is finished airing. Isn't that the typical practice? I believe it would be quite difficult to determine the answer to these questions and ultimately come up with the actual conversion. This is why Phil said over twenty thousand instead of an exact figure.

I think I've found the building: arches on one side, Corinthian capitals on the other. See the blog here. According to the blog, the workshop belongs to Rakhal Paul, which fits in with the sign.

OK, here it is: 24B Bonomali Sarkar street.

The largest non final prize is supposed to be the Bransen's free gas for life (though of course it really isn't free gas for life), but it supposed to be a very nice prize.

If Margie and Luke truly fails, then this would be a BATTLE OF THE SEASONS :knuckles:

or TARUB was just cursed of not including a team from season 13 :wise

TrIsKaIdEkaPhobia... hehe, I missed Toni and Dallas though and the cute cheerleaders, you know, I hate seeing

girls getting exhausted and helpless like Jaime, ;) Also, I thought M/L, G/M, and Z/J are the speculated final

three because no photos of them appear in LAX airport sightings?  :duno:
I wanna rip a TAR clue envelope someday, =)
