Did Colin and Christie ever repair their relationship with Charla and Mirna?  Genuinely curious.

Has the “home” team ever won the final leg? I know frank and margarita were from nyc and Tyler and korey were from Michigan and lost. marcus and Amani might have been from
Atlanta but I can’t remember but they also lost.

Has there ever been a team that won in their home town?

I sorted the US contestant list on Wikipedia by placement. There's really only 1 1/2 teams.

Dana & Matt (28) are both from LA (Santa Barbara's close enough, right?)
Eric Sanchez (11) is from Deerfield Beach, a suburb of Miami.

But Season 11 finished in San Francisco... :duno:

I don't think they were still living there, but Josh & Brent (Season 21) had lived in New York City.

I figured there had to be an LA team winning in LA. Thanks everyone

I'm not sure if this has been asked yet, but what would theoretically happen if a team who had two Express Passes didn't give away one of them?  Is this a requirement or simply an option?

The host confronts them at the mat and forces them to answer. The host will then hold onto the pass and give it away him/herself. I think this happened in one of the TAR Canada seasons.

Yeah, Season 4, episode 4. They didn't give them away because they were trying to hide that they found them.

Interesting!  Does the team receive some kind of penalty?

It's more a case of 'waiting until the very last minute', not a violation of a rule.

I really think that they should make the team give away the Express Pass BEFORE checking in. So they can't check in with that second Express Pass

Why? What's the difference?

Charla and Mirna are friends with Colin on Colin's personal FB page so I think they have some sort of relationship.

Why? What's the difference?

For example, when Steph & Kristin stepped on the mat but still had the 2nd Express Pass on hand, they are not able to check in so they have to go back to where the other teams are and give it to them there. So it could delay Steph & Kristin and lower their standing. BUUUUUT typing this now I could see a very specific situation that they are begging the only team behind them to take it but the other team wouldn't take it, forcing Steph & Kristin to check in last. :duno:

Yes, that's definitely a good point to bring up!  What if the EP-holding team was absolved from responsibility if the team refused to take it?  :duno:

What would happen if a team showed up to the Head to Head with a penalty?

Maybe the producers would realize it's a bad idea to place them at the end of the leg?

FWIW, I think Pit Stop Tasks (like the Penultimate Leg of TAR 31) are much better because teams aren't relying on other teams to show up, and issues like penalties interfering with the Head-to-Heads are avoided

My guess is that they'll wait out the penalty before lining up for the Head-to-Head. So other teams could pass them and attempt the Head-to-Head before them. Could be fair if they had like a 15-minute to a 1-hr penalty, but is kind of unfair if they had a 6-hr penalty and still manage to beat the last team. :/

And what if the non-penaltied team won that last H2H? Would they still depart 6 hrs later because the penaltied team had to technically wait out the 6 hrs before the H2H? :duno:
