I'll play devil's advocate: I think the first two episodes are one leg. At the Pit Stop, Phil said to each of the teams "You're the Xth team to arrive", rather than "You're team number X", which we have all taken to mean that the leg is over. If I'm remembering correctly, the mid-point of the Beijing double-leg in TAR 14 was also explicitly called a Pit Stop, which it was not. Phil also told the teams that they were still racing. I'm probably not forming as coherent an argument as I would like, seeing as how I'm very tired from all the excitement, but just remember that just because Phil says something is a Pit Stop doesn't mean it is one! (Amazing Race Asia has done this numerous times.)

If this is really a leg, then cowboys should recieve a penalty(speedbump or 30mins penalty) for coming last in this leg.

Screencaps coming. People who are playing the "Take a shot whenever Coutzy appears" game are going to be taking one definite shot, and a couple of maybes.

1- Before the first train.

2- The guy who took some photos before production asked him to stop. The piece of paper he is waving around is my email address

3- Back of my head! Drink!

4- Tickets to Manly. I'm just behind them, barely out of the shot.

5- I can say with absolute certainty I'm somewhere in the background. Don't ask me to point to myself, though.

6- Same again

7- I'm nowhere near this shot, but I would like to point out that this was shown in the race to the Pit Stop, but this was filmed while they were running away from the Pit Stop

Stay tuned for next week, when I will deconstruct the remaining Sydney footage, particularly that of Kent and Vyxsin, who I spent the most of the remaining time with.

Interesting they skipped the whole grab the clue from the boat and all...just straight from airport to Manly.

Did anyone catch the start of the clue that Mallory read?

The lord mayor was also one of the greeters shown in the finale of TAR 17 as one of the incorrect options for the final task.

Mallory says 'You're headed to the back and beyond'. Does this mean they go straight to Town Hall... :duno:
Can't be correct....

Did anyone notice how Chateau found those paper scraps at the windmill farm?
Phil threw down each paper airplane as the team brought it to him.

I know I mentioned it in one of these threads immediately after the episode, but I do agree that I also thought it was great that WRP went out of their way to use him again. And it's 9 years almost 10 since he first appeared in season 2. I will never forget that leg as it was the Cha "shopping" leg that started in Hong Kong and ended in Sydney. (And that season is now available for purchase at Amazon on DVD. :) )

Unfortunately, the paper planes or paper pages I found were not the ones they used for the task.

The field of planes was about 100 feet away from the sun-dried skeleton that I found.

This shot form Kent & Vyxsin's insider video "A New Approach" was taken here:  Southbound on the 605  freeway at the 105

Oddly, it was taken just past their opportunity to make the interchange with the westbound 105 which goes to LAX.  And they are still in the car pool lane.

This location and the direction they are headed puts them about 40 min from LAX Fly Away Parking.

This shot was taken between 2:44 and 2:55 pm (assumes November 20th).

That puts their arrival to the parking lot at about 3:30 pm.

I had left that parking lot at about 1:30 pm   :'(

I recognized him right away because I've watched that 2-hour episode dozens of times.  It's still one of my favorites, even with the double-length.

Wiki is never reliable since I can go on there right now and edit it to say that the first location was China, four teams were eliminated, and the show was canceled.

That's actually a cool new feature. Unfortunately, they'll probably do that on political pages too, so it will only show one opinion.

There's a lot that goes behind the scenes at Wiki.
Semi-protected stops vandalism from anonymous users, but flame wars can happen though. Check the discussion page for some interesting statements.
Most political pages/biographies of living people are already semi-protected. The fans and the detractors, by clashing, somehow keep the page relatively neutral.

And if that all fails, Citation Needed.
