Survivor: Redemption Island - Phillip Sheppard
« on: January 10, 2011, 11:48:13 AM »

PHILLIP

Name (Age): Phillip Sheppard (52)
Tribe Designation: Ometepe
Current Residence: Santa Monica, Calif.
Occupation: Technology Executive
Personal Claim to Fame: Being a father to my son and being able to take risks in life. I say "yes" when others may say "no."
Inspiration in Life: Medical Professionals - they save lives in real time.
Hobbies: Chess, basketball, skating and sport training with weights.
Pet Peeves: People who think they know everything and yet do nothing and watch others do the work.
3 Words to Describe You: Outgoing, articulate and determined.
SURVIVOR Contestant You Are Most Like: I am my own man!
Reason for being on SURVIVOR: I love the idea of competing and proving I still have what it takes to prevail in new challenges that are completely outside my normal everyday life.
Why you think you'll "survive" SURVIVOR: I come from a large family (12 brothers and sisters), and as such I've become a creative problem-solver and good talker in stressful situations where others would give up.
Why you think you will be the sole SURVIVOR: I am a go-getter. As a former Special Agent with the former Defense Investigation Services, I honed my interview and investigative skills to persevere when others are being evasive or less than forthcoming.

Did you notice the question mark next to his occupation as former federal agent?
Not even the production believes him. He really is delusional.

:duno: yes i saw that however why would he say that  on something that he can clearly be called out on.  Doesnt make any sense and I dont believe that the FEDS of any agency would be happy about that on National TV. It's a FEDERAL crime to impersonate any FEDERAL OFFICER in any capacity..  (:;)

Former Fed Officer  :taze posting here however i'm not being treated for dry throat! !  :lol3:

This is not true. If it was, then they would arrest the casts of Criminal Minds, NCIS and all the others. In this case, he is a contract actor. The real problem is, he is not a very good actor.

ACTING on a series is not the same as being on a reality tv show and saying it's ur "professsion".

 However I have been wrong in the past. Too bad that RULE was something that was drilled into me at training and written in all the manuals.

Guess we'll never know till the end or someoen that knows him comes foward! Either way that's gonna be a topic at the finale!

:lol3: Do any of you actually believe his claim of being a former Federal Agent?   :lies:

Maybe he was a janitor in a federal bldg.......

Producers allow contestants to over-inflate or under-inflate who they actually are. This is just another case of that. Russell Hantz was found to be making himself up more than he really is.

I forget his name, but a few seasons back, the internet millionaire really played down who he really was.

This is just another case of that. It is an "entertainment" program, produced for TV. It is not a documentary.

I have to give him the possibility that he was a federal agent.  There are so many federal agents throughout the govt.  I was one for 15 years so who knows. :duno:

When you hear "federal agent," you often think of someone like Jack Bauer or an FBI agent chasing down fugitives, but there are a lot of agents that are nothing but glorified paper-pushers. I'm not saying one way or another on Phillip, but you never know...
