This thread is for the Amazing Race if it made a cameo on other shows/movies like short episode appearences or references, this would also count for contestents who appear in movies or televison shows as themselves or potraying an character.

To start, I was watching CSI:NY yesterday night on TNT and and somewhere towards the end of the episode I was watching, a short cameo of Season 15's Estonia episode was seen on a TV on the show for about a minute.

In "The new adventures of Old Christine" (yeah I watched that show, no shame) Christine in many episodes says that she needs to finish her application for the amazing race or that she saw something on the amazing race, but never really says what she saw...

I was doing my usual crossword puzzle on the subway this morning and 14 across was "The Amazing ______". 4 letters.

One theory that can explain TAR contestant cameos is the fact that some writers and producers of shows and movies want them because they think they'll be entertaining actors, not to mention the fact that people will relate to them. Either this, or some of the contestants were trying to get attention anyway.
Expect to see Brooke Roberts cameos soon, since she has recently joined an entertainment company!

I remember an episode of the show How I Met Your Mother, where Barney says something like "I'm sorry to tell you that you've both been eliminated from the race". I can't remember which episode it is, but if I ever see it again, I'll post it here.
