from   GabGabyGabby
.Just saw two contestants from the @TheAmazingRace in Vienna, Austria !! :D
about 3 hours ago

That makes it about 9:30 am Vienna time, Dec 6th.

If this is correct...feel like a TAR14 repeat...5 teams from TAR14,3 same countries by now.

TAR14 did not go to Vienna.....but TAR4 did...........repeat racers and repeat countries.....seems to be the theme this time. TAR 14 was certainly in Austria.......but in Salzburg on opposite side of country.

Twitter

from GabgabGabby say:
I don't know who I saw in @TheAmazingRace in Vienna! It might have been the new cast for the new cycle.I do know it was 2 black guys (tall)
-13 mins.
It's actually Flight Time/Big Easy in Vienna! :)
I really wish we could stay longer in the countries we visit, but I've been lucky to have visited most of them before, because I've done a tremendous amount of travel. - Phil Keoghan

The Amazing Race 22-23 is coming soon!

Ha, on the preview for the next eppy of TAR 17, they have a "special surprise for what the next Season will be". I "wonder what it is?"

I wonder if it's not only the official reveal of the title for TAR18, but maybe an early cut teaser with things already shot from legs in Australia, Japan and China or maybe the official announcement of the teams in the cast.

Also by the time the TAR17 finale is shown, we'll be on the final stretch of the TAR18 in terms of filming, which will make it really interesting.

I suspect that the TAR18 Finish Line will be this Thur or Friday.......in time for Gary and Mallory to get to the party in NYC......plus other notable people..........but not a tried and true rule.......just a feelin.

Just depends on where the End City for TAR 18 is.

When TAR 10 ended on TV, was TAR 11 still filming? If so, then maybe TAR 18 might still be filming when TAR 17 ends on TV, give and take a couple of days from 21.

The seasons were longer then though, remember, All Stars had 13 single length legs. But they still could possibly end later.

I'd be inclined to buy a connecting airport theory. Madrid-Barajas handles 45 million+ passengers a year compared to Vienna's 18 million passengers.

I'd be inclined to buy a "this is bull****" theory. Be cautious about being played!

Austria is either the 8th or 9th leg, if you count the TBC as two. Not much time left to hit another continent to make five!

IIRC, Madrid was a connecting city used by some teams to get out of Morocco back in TAR 3, and that was a leg headed towards Germany/Austria.

So that raises the possible inference of either a leg in Spain (they haven't had any clues anywhere in Spain outside of Barcelona TAR 10 (IIRC), and the port in TAR 3 to head to Morocco) or a leg in Morocco (where they have not been in a long time.)

This is pure speculation on my part based upon trying to understand what the flight from Madrid to Vienna implies.

We have a sighting in Vienna though, which suggests Vienna is the final destination. Moreover, if connecting, I assume it would be more ideal to go through, say, Frankfurt. Additionally, I'm seeing no flights to Vienna from Madrid that fit the time frame at all. While they could be on a budget airline to Vienna, my thought is that they're on their way to Sequesterville somewhere in Iberia  :jam:

(or of course, that it's a hoax)

I am having trouble connecting these two cities as well. My assumption is that Vienna is the real leg since they were seen in taxis and were possibly getting a clue at that market. Madrid is either a connection, someone terribly lost, or Elimination Station.
Physics alone is not enough.

The Madrid sighting for me is very suspicious because all the weekend there were problems to all the Spanish airports due to the traffic controllers strike. The government declared a state of emergency and on Friday and Saturday most flights were cancelled. I know the sighting says Sunday but it still would be risky to use a Spanish airport.

Just spec, but I say keep your eyes on Slovenia in the next couple of days...

Very close proximity to Vienna... only a 4 hour drive from capital to capital
