I'm disappointed that they still, by all accounts haven't done any Aussie Rules related tasks. If they want to go for cheap laughs (Think 'Your target is your partners face) and endless frustration, it would really be as simple as making the racers kick a football. The shape of the ball makes it near impossible for someone who doesn't know how to do it, and for added shame factor, why not have a few of the Semi-Pro players in the VFL (Victorian Football League) kick a ball around at the other end of the oval?

Yeah, I'm sadistical like that.

You mean like the kick a rugby-ball task in TARA4 a few episodes ago? That was in New Zealand, but it seemed to be pretty hard to score a goal.

CX524... awaiting takeoff in Hong Kong in ~2 hours, 40 minutes from now

Thanks Dr. that's what I was looking for. Can we tell from any of those pix or reports who is on which flight?

I look forward to lots of great sightings in Tokyo airport. Be on the lookout from about 2:30-3:30 CST!

TPTB must be trying to get these kinds of countries out of the way at first. I predict that we will lose them at the end, but who knows, the powers of this board may be invincible.

After consolidating a portion of the reports, it is safe to presume Kynt/Vyxsin, Mel/Mike and Margie/Luke are on the Hong Kong flight. Although given the amount of time they have, I wouldn't be surprised if everyone made it on as well!

I'm not sure that they would have wanted to. QF21 is making great time and will probably arrive 25 min before the CX flight.
We have anybody on that one?

It seems my cousin is too busy to be able to spy on the teams for me in at the airport in Tokyo. Peach, I hope you have someone else to cover this!

It looks like both are arriving at terminal 2. I've been through Narita several times and terminal 2 is QUICK. Chances are the teams from both flights won't even see each other.

It may be one of those where they are close but don't know their position.

Now CX524 is showing that it was delayed 50min and will not land until 6:50am. That puts them an hour behind the others.

Anything can happen means anything and this time it swung to the negative side. Now CX524 is showing that it will land an hour behind the others.

QF21............anticipated gate arrival @ 0539

It turns out the direct flight from SYD is much better!

In TAR9, the teams drove rental cars from Narita to a parking lot near the Shibuya Scramble.

In TAR15, the teams spent the night at a hotel near Narita (?) and then took taxis to the Tokyo Tower Studios near Toranomon.

Will they be driving once again?  Or will they have to take a train?  I hope the clues tell them to take trains - that's part of the fun of being in Tokyo!!!

Actually, they spent the night in the "green room" at the base of Tokyo Tower.

Hey King Michael.......nice to see ya.....

0539 is Japanese time for anticipated gate arrival for Qantas flight 21.....the current time in Toyko is 0409. So about an hour and a half till we know if anyone will be seen on that flight.....Teams could possiblity all booked on CX524 if enough seats were available.

IF teams are in fact split between the two flights......I sure bet there is a lot of grumbling and sweaty palms on that CX524 flight.

QF21 is about 45 minutes to landing, still at the gate at 0539

CX524.......no change in status of flight...anticipated arrival is still 0650 Toyko time.

Thx 4 keeping up with this, Doc!

I can confirm at least 5 teams seen at the airport on QF21. Someone at the airport was speaking with 3 of the teams:

"went to ask for a photo, for obvious reasons, they declined, but was a able to get one of their Travel books for Australia signed by 6 [individuals] of them. From the book, (and the notes they scribbled) they had to pick up cars in the outback (broken hill), caught the indian pacific back to sydney, they had a few places in Sydney marked on the map, bridge climb and the Pitt - Market and Castlereagh st area, as well as town hall."

I am trying to get more info now! Hope to be able to work out who was on QF21 soon!

Do we know who got on what flight??

No we dont as of now.

Too add, im surprised no sightings yet especially considering its in the worlds largest city.

I know, and if anywhere knows the Race it is Japan. The QF21 teams have been on the ground for almost an hour, surely they have already left the airport.

Possibly have left the city and to the subrubs maybe? Rural Japan!

There is no possible way that they have not been seen by at least one person with a twitter account. Probably even a cameraphone.

If they're using the subway, I feel sorry for them. It's the middle of the morning rush hour with no room. Japanese salarymen aren't the tweeting types anyways.
