He grew up in the states, so he knows both English and Japanese. I'm sure Ron/Christina should be okay with language so I'll make sure he helps out Kynt/Vyxsin and Gallory.  :lol3:

If they are indeed going into Tokyo City, they might fly in via Tokyo-Haneda(HND) as it is closer to the city. Just a guess.  :duno:

Haneda has very limited international flights, so it's highly unlikely.

Since the flight from Hong Kong and the Flight from Sydney are the first flights of the day to land at Narita Terminal 2 we can expect them to get through customs in good time.

Thanks to Neobie, at least 2 teams are confirmed to have taken the 3PM flight viia HK to Tokyo. Many teams may choose this option as it appears that there were still seats available.

Which two teams?

It's the fourth night and teams still haven't got a single good night's rest yet; they're going for full-blown killer fatigue here!

Night of 20 Nov USA, 21 Nov Australia: Overnight flight to Sydney
Night of 22 Nov: Waiting for charter planes to Broken Hill
Night of 23 Nov: Overnight train to Sydney
Night of 24 Nov: Overnight plane to Tokyo

Lol Peach. I'm new here and I have to say you're incredible on this board with everything you do.

I haven't seen the other 'All-stars,' season but it seems as though the consensus is that that season was just like a normal one. Maybe this time they've decided to make it harder, especially with the REALLY long first leg.

I think you may be right. They seem to have been trying a lot of new things lately, such as the 'Double U-Turn,' and the 'express pass.'
I hope whatever it isn't detrimental to the show. I personally wasn't thrilled by the idea of the 'express pass,' and feel that the 'double U-Turn' would have been more effective in an earlier leg with more teams.

I like the double U -turn. I also think it should be made a Quadruple U-turn. details follow.

2 teams can U-turn other teams, and if you have been u-turned, then you can also u-turn the team that u-turned you.  This means that you have to go to the U-Turn place both before and after the task.. If you are past the 2nd visit to the u-turn location, then you are safe, but if not, then you have to do the 2nd half of the U-turn.

From FB:

Just saw the amazing race all stars racing through Central Station!!! Yay Kynt and Vyxsin are back again! Also saw Gary and mallory harassed by school students haha

Does this not add some confirmation to the speculated departure list, which said that Gary & Mallory were cheered on by a load of school kids (or something to that effect)?

(Oh, also, hey - first post here ^_^)

Would also like to point out that beside Tokyo being featured in TAR15, meaning some of the teams present would have some advantage having been there, Osaka was also featured as leg 10 in TAR12 (So Ron and Chris did race there, but Kynt and Vyxxin didn't ).

As speculation, I traveled to Okinawa a few years ago, although not a large place, still is one of the last remaining places in Asia with large presence of US bases. Considering that Guam (before the US bases were disbanded) was featured in TAR11, I wouldn't be surprised if Okinawa was now the setting for a leg in a race featuring past racers.

Jet and Cord have been spotted holding on to these discs, which are also found near Amanda and Kris in this shot. Yep, I think that those discs are part of a task.

Any clue what they are? ???

Dunno about the first one: maybe at the yacht task?

The second one is at the town hall in Sydney.

The teams were carrying those discs when they came out of Manly Oceanworld. I speculate that a task involved them diving to retrieve it. I managed to sneak a quick look inside one of them, it appeared to be a compass rose, nothing more.

No, I'm talking about the object J/C are holding, and the one near A/K.

It must have a cultural/historical connection... or maybe it was created / custom made for the race then?

I can't think of any cultural or historic reason giant compasses would be used in Manly. The only possible thing I could think of for it would be to do with the European colonisation, but the most famous places for that are Botany Bay and Sydney Cove (Sydney Cove is right next to Circular Quay, where teams got their first clue Down Under)
