What's with the negative waves........lol

Just a FYI.......
DL 17 landed about 12 minutes ago
UA 839 landed about 45 minutes ago......

So the Immigration/Custom Hall will be quite busy.

Lol or Toronto!!!!!

Hehe. Not sure Northern Europe is a good place to race at this time of the year, unless they're going for a Nighttime Edition.   Going West makes more sense at this point, not to mention none of the speculated teams have raced in Oz before.

QF 12 delayed to est 1025

If It was started indoors, I would guess they started at the Staples Center.

The racers began arriving at LAX around 6pm Pacific yesterday...

Who know what they could have been doing before arriving at the airport.. Startline task, route infos, etc.

The race could have still started while it was light out. Right?

There was an idea that there was a startline task (peach said) and so this may be why they arrived at 6pm at the Airport

Yes. Exactally Kiwi..

And people tweeted the sightings at the airport around 6pm Pacific.

So it could have taken them awhile to actually send the message to twitter.. Especially if they are working at the airport, etc.

Currently i am just searching ... "airport" near:"Sydney" ... in twitter haha

There was a Knicks vs Clippers NBA game there yesterday evening, so it's pretty much unlikely they started there.

Here's a webcam at Bondi Beach - I doubt we'll see teams but at least it'll make you feel warm on a sub-zero night.

Are there any live cams of the Sydney Opera House? The teams will probably go there at some point.

RichinSydney, thats very helpful, people get a camera! Sydney Opera House maybe? There's a camera just outside of the airport too!

I think China's fair game as well, since they didn't go there in TAR 17.
[/qu

I guess Hong Kong could be considered different enough from some of China's less explored regions, but TAR17 did go to China.

China and India are always fair game, they might even do both. I just think it's India's turn. Unless they do Australia/Indonesia/South Asian country and skip India because it would be the fifth or sixth leg in the same type of climate and they want to go for some variety and not spend half the race in the same (vast) neighborhood. Sadly, given the time of the year, Kazakhstan will probably still not be featured on TAR.
