Does anyone know where they will proceed to after Australia?*

Welcome to RFF Oddarane! :waves:

Just a historical recap......

TAR 12  ????
TAR 13......two flights to Brasil.
TAR 14......two flights....one to Zurich, one to Milan
TAR 15....???
TAR 16......two flights to Chile.....but all teams ended up on one, due to problems with plane and jumpy racers.
TAR 17....two flights to London

My spec only.......
TAR 18....probably the two Qantas flights, since they are both codeshares with American Airlines, a sponsor

Just wanted to say, American Airlines is no longer a sponsor for the race.  That changed when Season7 aired, the sponsorship is now with Travelocity.

I thought the racers, when they are sequestered before the race, are forbidden to use electronic communication devices except during the race when they can book flights/travel arrangements?

mjriches, there may still be something with American Airlines.  If you go through the seasons since seven, many first leg flights still have an American Airlines flight involved.

And this is speculative, it also explains why some potential start cities haven't been used because American does not have a large international flight presence in those cities; e.g., Atlanta (the HQ for Delta), and Minneapolis-St. Paul (now a second hub for Delta after a merger a couple of years ago.)

Probally not, its a crime to impersonate someone on the internet if its a blog or tweet if I'm not mistaken.

You are certainly correct there.....but what if........and I know this takes a great leap of faith......but what if American Airlines owned Travelocity.....could we say that American Airlines was in fact a sponsor?

American Airlines doesn't own Travelocity.  If it did, why would Travelocity list airlines that are American's competitors (United, Delta, USAir) then?  Travelocity is not owned by any airline!!

IF production did split the teams between QF 12 and QF 108 with the first teams to the airport on the first flight and slower teams to the airport on 2nd flight....the irony is the slower teams will get to Sydney first. I remember that happening in TAR 6 and TAR 7 5.......due to flight delays on 1st flights.

  Yes, please. Sorry, Michael.

I want to think good thoughts for all of them while they're up in the air and wish them safe travels in real time. I'm actually quite pleased to see for the second season in a row there are no more than (possibly) 3 teams I don't like.

Before TAR 15 started, TPTB encouraed Maria and Tiffany to continue to post on their Twitter and Facebook accounts, up until the day before the race actually started.

It's not like jet planes dont have internet acccess anymore......do you think they might be still following TPTB instructions to continue to post?

I'd much rather we found out some of the sightings are fake and KenTina, RonChris and NateJen are back instead!!

IMO, Nate & Jen are way more deserving than a few of the selected teams.

TAR 15....???

I think there were two flights here. *goes to check* Yeah, two flights. First one held five teams, second one held six. I might be mistaken on the distribution.
I thought that when we fought, I was to blame
Now I know you play a different game
I've seen you dance with danger; still wanting more
