Sucks are saying that Amanda/Kris and Margie/Luke were in Elimination Station together....

Where you get information? or video on TAR promo?
I really wish we could stay longer in the countries we visit, but I've been lucky to have visited most of them before, because I've done a tremendous amount of travel. - Phil Keoghan

After seeing the "Sucks" site mentioned several times, I decided to check it out for myself. Wow! what a difference from this forum and not in a good way. The language is unbelievable and it seems that folks there go out of their way to be vulgar just because they can.  I think I'll stick to RFF, thank you!

I know; I have had the pleasure of visiting this exciting site as well. It is not nearly as organized as RFF is; they seem to have boards and topics strewn all over the place. They do not project the positive and professional image RFF projects at all.
Good work Rob, puddin, Peach, TL, and the rest!

"That place" gets into some really bad habits and it makes it difficult to separate fact from fiction, speculation from reality, and a few other choice contrasts.  I haven't really been there to visit much since about 2003.

They should def take advantage of what they have. We know the first leg is going to be AWESOME...start task, REAL clues,  airplane drama, great location and tasks, and one popular team way behind....all culminating in a TBC. This first episode is where they grab or lose viewers...so I would promote it to the max!

Deserves at least 90 minutes in my book. :yess:

I agree, but I don't want the whole first 20 minutes being airports and stuff like that.

Can't wait until my DVR finds it!

Some people (like me) think that the best drama of the Amazing Race is in the airports and travel agencies and in self-driving automobiles in countries where the road signs are inexplicable to Americans.
I have to agree with you. I'm hoping for a lot of good airport scenes!

Let me join the hail of love for Airport and travel agency drama.

We can expect networks to release this week Press Releases for February Sweeps line-up as whole, so I think we'll know for sure debut time and length for the premiere this week.

Really hope for a extended episode for the premiere, TAR17 got a extended premiere with unknown teams, for the HD and the returning teams TAR18 also deserves at least a 90-minute telecast.

I am so glad they dumped the FTBE...they have names. :)

personally I think it was they couldn't fit their FTBE names under their tiny picture

and CBS on my computer says 9/8c too

They just did  I think we all jinxed it.

Herb and Nate are listed as "Flight Time and Big Easy" and Kisha is listed as "LaKisha".

Yeah, they changed it back to Flight Time & Big Easy. I wonder why?  :duno:

Also, they're not showing the Season 18 cast on the front page, but instead the Final 3 teams of TAR 17.

Hmmm, now that they changed 'Herb & Nate' to 'Flight Time & Big Easy', the teams are no longer in alphabetical order. 'Flight Time & Big Easy' would fit ahead of Gary & Mallory, while 'Herb & Nate' fit behind them. :spell

Is it just me, or are there loads of problems with the CBS TAR Site? :neener:

Make that the last ten years. They've always have problems that never get fixed. (Earliest one I can remember is a leaderboard error in the middle of TAR 3. We submitted messages to the CBS web monkeys at the time, and they never got it fixed.)

Oh yeah, I remember that TAR3 error. It had Derek & Drew listed as sixth place instead of third place on one of the Morocco legs. (:;)

The Isla Redonda Unidad Postal Fin del Mundo ROADBLOCK was notable in that Rob lost to Mirna, causing ob/Amber to be eliminated after 3 consecutive first-place legs at the start of AR11. Otherwise, it was just a typical random task where Mirna's task was independent of Rob's. A more exciting random task would be AR6 at Bogs Gard Farm in Sweden where Lena unrolled hay bales. In that task, her results were not independent of the other teams coming in and finding one of the limited number of clues.

IMO independent random tasks beat the dependent ones, because then it's fair play for everybody.
The story so far:
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move

It is the people who make the task memorable, not the tasks itself. Imagine a Kris/Kisha/Luke or Amanda/Jen/Margie showdown for last place, no matter what the task, it will be memorable...

Apskip, I know that. But what I mean is the "memories" of past racers, like their letters, not the task of finding the letters itself. It is the "good luck" or the cursing letters of their past racers that I want to see. :groan:

Yeah. It was interesting to see the other former teams from old seasons write to the All-Star teams.

Particularly Patrick's letter to Rob & Amber.  I felt quite a bit of pity for poor Rob -- in last place and having to get a letter like that!
