awww, shucks. :-[

I am SO proud of our team!!!  :cmas20

Over and over this weekend I was told by strangers, readers, racers, and their families and friends how very much they respect and appreciate and admire the work we do here!!

SO all of you take a  and know that the hours you spend researching and hunting for clues DO make a difference and are HUGELY appreciated by many many people. I just wish all of you could have heard ALL the nice things that I heard in person.

So a big THANK YOU to everyone from your many fans!!

And a great big :ghug: from me!

Peach is not only a fabulous and gifted detective, she is one of the most modest people I have ever met.  Every time someone thanked her or remarked about the great work done, she would always give credit to the whole team.  She constantly reinforced the fact that she does not do this alone. She always deflected the appreciation being shown to her. Our fearless leader is a real class act!

again, I know this isnt exactly the right thread (but you have nothing better to do today than move posts right?!), but I thought it would embarrass you if I started a "Peach is the bomb" thread

I spoke to many racers over the weekend, specifically about RFF.  They had some great things to say about the site, but as not to go too far off topic on this thread, I will post those stories later in the TARCon thread.

I thought so too, but the date (12/10) is too early. Doesn't seem like a sighting, though... ?

So y'all missed me??  :kisses

Yes...TAR 18 is officially 100% done....

Someone has resolved their Unfinished Business while 10 other teams have twice the amount!!

There will be lots to talk about. But not tonight! :nitenite:

Do you know who won?

Do you even know who was in the F3?

It's policy:   Even if we did know, we would not spill it.  Yet.   :cmaslol

Hate to sound ungrateful and all, but...what exactly is the reasoning behind this?

Imagine, right now.. we only know who the first 3 teams eliminated are... as opposed to knowing the F3...

There are some people who only watch TAR because of the teams they like... imagine if everyone knew who the F3 are... it could potentially affect ratings... and it does not help too IF the F3 consist of 3 teams which the audiences generally do not like.

Just my two cents. :cmas16

Not exactly a live sighting but spotted an Easter egg in TAR 17 finale. As soon as Mallory says can we do it again, it does that chime thing and zooms in. Watch it and you will see what I mean :)

Yes and thanks!

Salzburg is a definite leg...will qualify the dates for now as sometime after the 5th. Waiting for hopeful confirmation.

Not sure if this in addition to a Swiss leg, or INSTEAD of?? ???

Salzburg is definite? I didn't see any spoilers for any place in Austria other than Vienna.

It's a little complicated. There is a sighting in Salzburg but it has not been confirmed and in fact is not of a team.
There's some conflicting info and Peach is trying to contact the sighter while still allowing them anonymity.

From this blog:
http://swamplandinflorida.blogspot.com/2010/12/can-blog-on-iphone-there-ap-for-that.html

Apparently 7 mile bridge was closed on Monday for filming the Amazing Race.
Not sure - but I think its a 7 mile bridge just outside of Marathon Fl that has been replaced by a new bridge.
The old bridge is used for walking now.

Do you think it was used for a task or for the finish line? Yes the old one is pedestrian only and the new one is a highway bridge. FYI this is quite a ways from Miami and Key Biscayne.
Great find, BTW!

Pigeon Key would be a great place to hide the Finish Line. There's a photo on Wikipedia which is taken from the vehicular 7-Mile Bridge, and you could fit the Finish Line behind that building, trees, and the ramp to the island.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pigeon_Key

Plus, the green lawn looks to be the right shade for TAR to use  :cmaslol
