I doubt it, I got told it's a charter flight to "the outback". New South Wales and Queensland as more well know as Outback territory, not Melbourne. If it is Melboune, I'd guess a connecting flight possibly to South Australia

Of course, it could be a charter to somewhere like Coober Pedy or Broken Hill, then on to Melbourne.

If there is a charter to nowheresville... there's gotta be a flight back to an international port.  While Australia has many, it is unlikely they would head out of Brisbane (that'd be either north to somewhere like Japan, or back to the US or NZ), Darwin (too few flights, really, but some to Singapore), or Adelaide.

Perth and Melbourne would seem logical departure points.  Melbourne has the more frequent international timetable to more locations.

Found them!

2 Charter flights to Broken Hill tomorrow morning on Rex Airlines Terminal 2:

ZL9578 Departs 6:05am
ZL9596 Departs 6:30am

Flight takes 2h20min.

Source at the Town Hall had contact with Globetrotters who asked her about Rex Airlines (Regional Express)

 :yess:
HI ALL..........THIS IS NOT BUSHPIG..........THIS IS MICHELLE FROM SYDNEY (This site hasn't sent me a confirmation email to sign up and I have to tell you some stuff NOW, so I am using Bushpig's account)
 :yess:
So I was the one in Sydney who took 2 of the photos above.....sitting along from the teams, and then across from them in Town Hall Square.

They all looked totally buggered and they were talking about having a shower.
When I first got there I asked one of the production crew if she was waiting for the race teams...she paused and said "I am filming for a travel show". I then turned around and saw the teams and couldn't believe my eyes!   :jumpy:
I had followed them from the bridge, where I talked to a security guard who had talked to the teams. But I wasn't going to give up, since I had not seen any teams. So I worked out the clue myself and then went to Sydney town hall where they were due next.
I have never seen so many backpacks in my life, as well as water bottled and power drinks.
The sound and camera teams were all together sitting/lying on the ground.
The teams were standing around or sitting chatting to each other.
I took some photos discreetly, then went up to Vyxsin and Margie (mum of deaf Luke) and told them that I hoped they did really well.

Then I went over to the Globetrotters and one half of the brothers team and asked if they were allowed to have a pic with me. They um'ed and ah'ed and then BIG EASY said "Oh, I'll take a photo". So I posed with Flight time and then they asked me about Rex airlines.
Rex airlines is a regional airline. They wanted to know if they had to go to the domestic or international airport. They were VERY interested in my iphone!!
Then my daughter needed food (I had already given her lollies), so I had to go. :( I could have sat there all night.
Pleased to supply the pics. :)

I also saw the asian dad and daughter, mallory and dad, the brothers, the really tall older white haired guy from one team (can't remember his name). The cowboys had not arrived before I left.

Not sure where the sixteen hours came from (says "24 minutes ago via web" for me), but it's a small world, eh? I've talked to that Twitter user personally and confirmed it via them.
