CBS does want people to watch this next episode, so 1 can expect them to be vague on just how far behind NV r. However, I have discovered in my time of watching TAR that anything, absolutely anything, can happen. I am simply assuming NV r eliminated b\c it's the most logical guess.

Are Caps 55 & 57 both of Claire?  In cap 55, the number is blue, and the background is yellow (The number doesn't appear to be a "2").  In cap 57, the number is red and the background is orange.  The number is a "2".

Good eye,  :welcome2: to RFF!

I know that 55 is Claire but I agree with what you are saying. Besides the colors Claire's helmet is #4 this one is #8 Who is this? I think Jill.

I think it is Jill b/c Thomas' helmet is #9 and he also has the orange number card.

This helps us b/c if those two are doing it, then no double RB.

So, perhaps both team members are on the ice?  Because we know Thomas is already doing it, and I don't think cap 57 is Nat, Kat, or Vicki.

The Detour choice is perhaps water or ice, since NK and BC are seen doing the rafting. Of course, BC are also seen doing the skating. I think JT do both too, this has to be them on the raft, that is a male arm.

That's a route info card she's holding at the bridge, and a RB card at Camp Casey. I'm guessing this ep is southward bound: starting with the rafting, moving south to the RB, then the Detour Skate/unknown (or maybe skating is another general task), then finally riding the metro to the Pitstop.

Several options:
1. The skating is part of a Detour and we don't know the other part.
2. That Route Info clue is after the rafting. nvm why would they be wearing ponchos after already being soaked on the raft?
3. Both the skating and rafting are Route Info tasks.
4.  The rafting is part of a Detour and we don't know the other part.

We know that the headband\karate task is the RB, so that's out of the question.

Base on the timeline thread is it certain that NIck and VIck will be eliminated this next leg?

hahaha it make sense now why nick and vicki are 6hrs behind..
they forfeited the detour on leg 10 which makes them fall 6hrs behind  :(
and my guessing is that the first three teams cld have gotten a flight before n&v cld to south korea.
one question, the promo vid mentioned 'north korea' o.o

or did i hear wrongly.. haha :duno:
"Im sorry to tell you that you have been eliminated from the race" is the most horrible thing to hear on TAR haha :)

In TAR 6 they had to run with locals in a 4x400 meter relay, perhaps the skating is a similar task?

I'm pretty sure they don't actually cross over into North Korea. According to the state department travel across the DMZ from South to North Korea is prohibited.  :rules:

*later edit*

BTW, the promo says teams travel the the South Korean border, not into North Korea. Brooke is only quipping about North Korea putting the other teams in a timeout.

What does it mean when B/C are wearing orange lifejackets? Are they from the rafting task? ???

It seems they are required to wear the vests when they ride in the back of the trucks.  They don't appear to be lifejackets, rather safety vests.

When the teams went to South Korea in season four, they had to travel on a highway that did approach and parallel the DMZ.  In fact, one team made a wrong turn and encountered convoys headed away from the DMZ, which is when that team realized they were heading the wrong way.

Wouldn't surprise me if that were to happen again if there's any self-driving involved.

Racing report
Amazing Race Season 17, Episode 10
Film date 2010-06-11 - 2010-06-13

Teams leave the pit stop at the Lalbagh fort in the following order:
1.Jill & Thomas    08:25
2.Nick & Vicki     13:59(+5:34)
3.Nat & Kat        16:05(+7:40)
4.Brook & Claire   17:15(+8:50)

Let me start by saying that I think Nick/Vicki's time deficit will not be overcome in this leg.

However, looking at maf's Racing report it is interesting to see the time deficit that we erased by flight bunching.

Like I said before, absolutely anything can happen suring the course of the race. One must also take into acccount that six hours is theminimum, not the maximum. We have no idea how long NV tried to Detour before taking the penalty.

I am reminded of TAR12, in which a route info task in Osaka, actually allowed TK & Rachel to almost catch up with the other teams that were way ahead of  them, and that's considering the several flights that were available from there to Taipei which was the following destination.

From the promo I don't see signs of something similar happening to Nick & Vicky, but it would been ideal to make this leg 11 more exciting, considering the amount of flights leaving from Hong Kong to Seoul might be even more abundant than Osaka - Taipei in TAR12.
