Conclusion from the cap:
1 19-20 Victoria Harbour
2 3 Dhaka Airport
4-5 21-22 Star Ferry
6-8 12-15 25-28 Cheung Chau
9-11 Central, just get off from the airport bus(which means first location
16-18 Wan Chai
23 36-54 Unknown Restaurant (We have to find it :duno:)
32-35 Central Pier No.5 (Ferry to Cheung Chau)

Speculation: B:)
Race Route in HK
1.Airport to Central
2.Central to Cheung Chau
3.Task in Cheung Chau (Maybe a Detour)
4.Ferry back to Central
5.Travel to Tsim Sha Tsui (through Star Ferry?)
I still doubt Star Ferry (Too Frequent :()... Maybe it is only N/K's choice
6.RB in Tsim Sha Tsui (Unknown Restaurant)
7.Pit Stop

In Cap 2, Brook & Claire are standing in front of a Singapore Airlines desk, could that mean they came through Singapore? Nick & Vicki, if I'm not wrong are standing there too(I could'nt see it clearly, but the line thing behind them seems to have the Singapore Airlines sign.) :ascared  :duno:

If they did,  :'(!

It looks like Claire has a fun leg...food problems and more running trouble.

Nick and Vicki do not appear to be on the Star ferry. It may be that N/K took a different way.

What is Nat doing taking an eating challenge??? One that involves plenty of unknown ingredients (I think the legendary Meatblock she could have done without any risks), how in the world is she going to count carbs with THAT?

It's possible that the clue will contain a warning if for any reason a diabetic could not do that task. In season 14, a Roadblock card said that the participant must be able to hear for safety reasons, and in season 15, a height restriction was placed on a task. Both times these warnings only excluded one racer.

Yes, especially since Nat had to answer any questions regarding her diabetes when she submitted her application.

It is possible that this leg and the next could be boring b\c of a potential penalty that separates one team from the rest. However, this leg could reveal some teams' mental capacities.

Hey all! I'm usually just a lurker but HAD to post because this promo is driving me crazy!

They are not eating sushi, they appear be eating dim sum, which makes sense as Hong Kong is known for dim sum. Sushi is JAPANESE for cryin' out loud!

I've been to HK several times and we always stay over in the TST area, so I've been trying to pinpoint the location of this restaurant. So far, no luck.

tivogirl, i was the first one to point out that TPTB or CBS were using "sushi" and I wasn't sure if it was used in Chinese culture at all or not. Din Sum, I can understand (as the TARcon folks almost always have a Din Sum brunch the day after the TAR finale in Manhattan.)

If it's the wrong label, that's just awful, because it isn't what TAR should be doing in showing lesser known elements of other countries and cultures.

I think Nat takes the task because Kat is a vegetarian.  I also think Nat might be able to find some food that she can safely eat.  But I don't think it'll matter much because I think Nick & Vicki come in last because they take a penalty.

I wondered about that. I don't know why CBS keeps calling it sushi

I don't really trust the TAR ad guys anyway :/
The story so far:
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move

I don't think they've got a competent staff, I remember an ad they did for Season 15 which included "Go!" in different languages, and almost all translations were poorly made.

They obviously r not trying when it comes 2 marketing or they do not expect perfectionists like us to pick apart their every move.  :werock:

Too funny - I was trying to pause and pick out what I could too! I'm sure they'll do some of the things with more interesting textures just to make it entertaining. They'll probably make it look like most dim sum is gross, when it is actually quite the opposite.

Bottom line: that is most definitely NOT sushi! Thanks for backing me up, and for the welcomes!

RE: Sushi v. Dim Sum...

A possible theory of CBS using 'sushi' to generalize the food task is because "Sushi Showdown!" sounds a lot better (with the added alliteration, to boot!) than "Dim Sum Showdown!" Wouldn't you agree?   ;)

Yeah, it's technically wrong, but it's so much fun for the casual viewer to be captivated with awe over a tongue-twister instead of something a bit more boring.  It's all about the excitement!! :lol3: Plus, the average viewer probably knows squat about the difference between dim sum and sushi.....kind of like categorizing all Indian food as Indian, when it's really not.

I would lean towards the century egg being the problem here.

Look at this description:

Century egg is a Chinese cuisine ingredient made by preserving eggs in a mixture of clay, salt, lime, and rice hulls for several weeks to several months.
Through the process, the yolk becomes a dark green, cream-like substance with a strong odor of sulphur and ammonia, while the white becomes a dark brown, transparent jelly with little flavor.

Erm.... I do eat century egg congee once in a while, so....   but that's the only way I'll dare to eat the century egg; I won't eat it alone or in a huge piece.... at least the egg gets sliced into bite-size when the bowl reaches me so the taste isn't THAT strong. I used to dare to eat pork liver, intestines and durian when I was a kid though; ironically, not anymore.....
