Is Brendon Mentally Ill?
« on: July 25, 2010, 01:51:59 PM »
I ask in all seriousness. I'm watching a few episodes of BBAD now and the man clearly has some pretty severe psychological issues. He's already called Rachel "his queen", "his goddess", and told her he loved her about 8,000 times. He's smothering her and generally behaving like a broken shell of a man. The man is 30 years old for goodness sake. He's not a 14 year old boy experiencing his first crush. Oh, and he just met this broad 2 weeks ago.

Rachel, on the other hand, is clearly playing the "showmance" game. She must have said the word "showmance" 900 times and is constantly asking others how they think her showmance is being portrayed on television. She's a fame whore and she knows what works. She's merely mugging for the camera's and trying to artificially become the next breakout reality star.

Brendon, on the other hand, is a lost cause. Anyone else think he might be severely mentally ill?

Some men just don't know how to be in the company of a woman without falling all to hell...and this is what has happened to Brendon. After BB is over, he will wake up (hopefully) and see what an ASS he has been all summer! I think the house has a little to do with it, it kinda makes you go bat**** crazy, but Brendon has taken it way too far!

But a very valid question you have!! lol

Yup, I agree that the constant fawning over Rachel is not something you see in most men. :kuss:  I have wondered if he is a man that is just in love with being in love?   It is really uncomfortable to watch the constant makeout sessions on After Dark and I find myself skipping over them on the DVR a lot. :lala

He's 30 years old! When they first started this 'whatever' romance he kept telling her that he'd been hurt in the past, has trust issues, she better not hurt him. He's going for his PHD, maybe he is one of those guys who don't know what to do so they stick with the safety of school. He has low self esteem, gets his feeling hurt really easily.

Updating their dalliances is not easy for updaters. No fast forward for us!

Texas Lady you and your fellow updaters have my sympathy, I think I would lose my mind if I had to watch them two canoodle all day. :boobs:  I think Brandon and Rachel have mistaken the house for their personal love nest; on the show tonight they were grumping about how Andrew is always in the way when they are making out.  Hello!  Other people live in that house besides you and Brendon.  Honestly they are like rabbits on Viagra. :groan:

I think Rachel is much more like an actress without a script, if you catch my drift. BB After Dark episode 10 is VERY telling. Rachel, Kristen, and Reagan are talking on the couch outside and Rachel goes DEEP into detail about how BB is reality TELEVISION... emphasizing the word "television" over and over. Insinuating its all an act and they are entertainners. She also insinuates the producers have favorites and rig the games to benefit those houseguests. Rachel is utilizing a showmance strategy. It's completely artificial and "made for TV". She basically admits as much during the above mentioned conversation.

I don't think there is even an ounce of real emotion coming from Rachel towards Brendon. It's 100% gameplay. She came in with a scripted showmance in mind and hit the jackpot with this needy shell of a man. The whole thing is just so sad to watch. I miss BB11. At least J&J were genuine. Yes, it became contrived after they left the house, but it was real while they were in there. This R & B nonsense is more fake than pro wrestling.
