An official announcement from CBS FWIW...

THIS JUST IN…

…from CBS Entertainment

LOS ANGELES - July 28, 2010 — The next edition of SURVIVOR will be a battle for the ages…literally.  The 20 new castaways will be divided into two Tribes of 10: Young vs. Old.  The Espada Tribe, made up of individuals over the age of 40, must prove they have the life experience and knowledge that will ultimately help them Outwit and Outlast their younger competitors.  The La Flor Tribe, consisting of individuals 30 years of age and younger, will have to use their youth and vitality to Outplay and ultimately Outlast their elders.  Who will prevail: youth or maturity?

SURVIVOR: NICARAGUA premieres in its new night this fall on Wednesday, Sept. 15 — returning to the time period where the series' first season aired in the summer of 2000.

Some more random info from missy at sucks (via TDT):

-"As far as The Game itself, I am told there are no medivaccs, no Exile Island, 20 players, merge at 12, and the challenges were not very physical. The 40 and older team had the more physical players but the challenges did not favor that type of player. The strongest player on either team was on the 30 and under tribe. He is 30 years old. Think James Clement, but white and stronger." (that would be Shannon)
-"There are a couple of people who do go on immunity runs. There was lots of rain. I described Holly as a loose cannon, how about a ticking bomb? ... If the challenges had been more physical it would have actually favored the older tribe, but they werent."
-In response to a poster complaining about preferring to see more young people: "Elisabeth - going by what you just posted - you will enjoy this season."
-"I think these players will be memorable for 1 reason or another: Kelly Bruno; Shannon Elkins; Holly Huffman [sic.]; Danny Lembo; Naonka Mixon; Kelly Shinn; Jill Behm; Chase Rice; Sash O Frash; Fabio; Brenda Lowe"
-"Chase Rice is on the LaFlor tribe and I think he works for Hendrick Racing. He fell hard for a girl out there which would make me not use the word dominant to describe him... When you see Dr. Jill on the show you might think she adheres to 'blondes really DONT have more fun.'"

According to missy, two females quit in what would probably be back-to-back episodes:

Quote
From what I am told, one of the females goes to TC and stabs an alliance member in the back to help boot them out. The very next morning this player then decides to quit.... Then the following week, the other girl quits.

The wiki mentioned something about the Medallion of Power?

Let us not trust the wiki for now. Dalton Ross has an article about that, so perhaps it's true.

It is true. The Medallion of Power is something that gives you an advantage in the immunity challenge. Twist is is if your tribe uses it, the next one the other tribe gets it. Bit silly I know but oh well. Survivor Sucks has missyae commenting on who gets it and how, which is very interesting and gives you a few little spoilers

Missy has added that neither of the Kellys are the first boot, narrowing the choice down to Na Onka or Alina. Based on a previous comment from Missy ("Brenda, Na Onka and Sash form a minority alliance but it doesn't last long"), my guess is Na Onka.

idk if anybody posted that but:

some more information from missyae on TDT

"Two females quit in back to back weeks."
"From what I am told, one of the females goes to TC and stabs an alliance member in the back to help boot them out. The very next morning this player then decides to quit.... Then the following week, the other girl quits."
"The double boot comes earlier than the 2 quitters.... The amazing thing about the 2 people who quit is how far they had made it ... and then quit.... From the final vote tally, it appears they were allowed on the jury."
"...all this begins in episode 1. The players walk in to join Jeff Probst. They have already been divided into 2 teams, but not the old vs young. Jeff talks about the Medallion but does not tell them exactly what power it will hold.... The first challenge is for the Medallion. Brenda Lowe's team wins the Medallion as she is the player who takes possesion of it during the challenge. At that point Jeff then splits them into the old vs. young tribes so the Medallion goes to the young tribe. However, Jeff gives them the option to give the Medallion to the old tribe in exchange for flint. After a quick meeting and deciding nobody could make fire, they choose to take the flint and give the Medallion to the old tribe...."
"Neither of the Kellys are the first boot." (Note: This leaves Na Onka, Brenda and Alina as first boot options).

and NaOnka and Brenda are both said to be memorable and basically indicate to going far. Alina seems the most plausible, but NaOnka could go...(small chance)...I don't think its Brenda!

Ok here are some pictures from TDT

"The players walk in to join Jeff Probst. They have already been divided into 2 teams, but not the old vs young."

"Pictures supporting this account aired during the first ad for Survivor: Nicaragua - both of the challenge itself (with Jimmy Johnson on Brenda's team), and of Probst splitting the contestants by age into their tribes. See the vidcaps below."

And again BIG THANK YOU TDT!!!!  :hearts:

(Stage 1) Going from the top of the hill to the bottom, the tribes (Na Onka shown for La Flor; Holly for Espada) appear to pour tribe-colored paint into the gutters being held together by the guys (Shannon, Chase, Jud, Matt and Ben for La Flor; at least Jimmy Johnson, Dan and Jimmy T for Espada). Presumably this fills up something, releasing puzzle pieces (visible in the shot of La Flor's gutter). As crocophile notes at MeSS, there's a barrel at the bottom of the hill after the puzzle pieces are released, which is not visible before the challenge. So that's probably the puzzle piece-dropping mechanism.

(Stage 2) Further down the hill, we see the rest of the female tribe members (Alina, Kelly B, Kelly S, Brenda for La Flor; Jill, Jane, Wendy Jo and Yve for Espada) assembling a puzzle. Based on past challenges, this is probably close to the end of the challenge.

Missy has said that Kelly S and Na Onka are the two to quit, Na Onka being the one who stabs her alliance member in the back and Kelly the one who quits after her.

Things can happen obviously in the game. But your right, it isn't great. NaOnka does quit for voting out someone close (Matt/Sash is my guess, a good one too I think) and then realizes her mistake. Kelly S. quits 2 days after before TC, knowing she's next so just gives up (boooo!)

Will dread the day those 2 episodes air.

And from the promos we can assume that Pre-Tribe A is Jud, Jimmy T., Yve, Holly, 2 Kelly's, Tyrone, Danny, Sash, and Jill (or the red-haired elder person, I mix up Jill & Jane), while the other 10 in the other, Medallion-winning tribe?

Yes, looks that way (and it's Jill, Jane is a curly blonde)
