Top 10 Performance Discussion
« on: March 31, 2010, 04:53:59 PM »
Usher was a terrific mentor. I enjoyed last night.

Who will go home? I just don't know, any ideas? Tim Urban was laughing but Simon said it didn't matter that he doesn't listen, he'll be back next week. (Probably true.)
It could be Andrew, even though he was praised by Simon last night. Or perhaps  Didi, she picked another bad song. She needs to find her own style and make it work. If she doesn't go tonight she better step it up because her time is running out.

For me the top guy was Lee, his best performance. I've not been a huge fan of his but he showed that he can sing and he fits the R&B, pop style. Loved Crystal. I was so glad she got up from the piano, it was killing her song. She had to concentrate so much on playing that she nearly forgot to sing. When she did stand up and just sing, she made me teary eyed. I don't want her to listen to Kara and Ellen, listen to Simon and stay true to herself.

Katie is getting better and better.

Most disappointing was Siobhan. Train wreck. If I could give her some advice, I'd tell her to just sing. When she just sings, her voice is clear and beautiful but then she starts the screaming. Stop screaming! Stop!

One other comment, I think they are all confused, Ellen tells them wrong song, Kara throws out advice right and left, they don't know what to do.

What say Y'all?

Hey TL!  :waves:

I say Bring Paula baaakkk.  Kara goooo.  Ellen is better than I expected, but I prefer the original Three judges.  :jam:

Didn't get to watch my Fav Crystal, or Andrew due to a major 3 hour power outage...affecting most of Southern CO.  And of course, could not vote. (:;)

Poor Siobhan, she just doesn't get it.  Why scream when you have such a beautiful voice when used properly.  Sure wish she'd get it together.  Love Casey and hope he gets to the final 4 at least.

Think it'll be Didi or Andrew leaving tonite.

Did anyone think it was odd that Simon  made a comment to one of the performers/Ryan  as " this is not STAR SEARCH"?  hmmmm  :duno: was that a plug for Paula?

and i'm thinking that by the end of this season Simon and Ryan will be at each other's throats. Ryan is getting a bit  confrontational  with him don't  ya think?? :lol3:  go little man! go! :meow:

Best Performance: Lee
Other standouts: Crystal, Andrew

Worst Performace: Didi
Other bad performances: Siobhan, Tim

Who i think will be in the bottom 3: Tim, Didi & (Siobhan)?? Maybe Katie.
Who i think will be going home: If Tim stays, Didi is toast. :(

Kara annoys me. Didn't like her last year, don't like her this year. I think she's trying to be Simon but she isn't and never will be.  :jam:  I wish Paula had been kept on the panel. Ellen is growing on me and she'd be just as good with Paula there, perhaps better.

Joab nailed it. I didn't think Didi would go but I knew it was really close for her. Why did she sing a song that she knew made her super emotional and not pick one that would have been better for her. She's honoring her friend but she still would be honoring her memory by staying in the competition. I hope she finds her style on tour.

Ah well. Tim Urban won't be around much longer, that's my prediction. He should be in a series on the Disney or Family channel.    (I'm being serious!)

Hopefully Siobhan will get back on track. Just sing next week, give the scream a rest.

My early prediction on next 3 eliminations:
Tim Urban, Michael Lynch, Andrew Garcia

Tim's time is overdue.
Michael doesn't impress us as the other guys will do once in a while.
Andrew just doesn't have the X-factor.

Maybe Katie might go.. but she's getting the Diana DeGarmo vibes for me... since most of the girls are gone.. the voters who like the girls better can consolidate their votes on the girls more now and not spread it among the guys..

Didi's voters will IMO jump ship to another female contestant.. same with Lacey.

I can't disagree with you Joab. Tim Urban and, Andrew gone soon.  Andrew has no fire or excitement, Michael is good but not what they want for AI. They were right the first time with Tim, too bad they had to bring him back.

Here are each inidividual remaining top 12 facebook fans stats as of now -

Crystal - 42,215
Andrew - 40,108
Casey - 28,670
Aaron - 24,770
Katie - 19,250
Lee - 18,240
Siobhan - 16,116
Tim - 10,085
Lacey - 8,772
Didi - 5,019
Michael - 4,100
Paige - 2,802

Arranged from most to least. How much of an impact will this stats do?

Will Big Mike be the next to go? Since this is afterall a popularity contest.. and the people who doesn't have the top 4 most fans have never been in the bottom 3.. this somehow shows how popular each Idol is.

According to DialIdol, here's each week top vote receiving idol -

TOP 24
Male: Andrew Garcia
Female: Katie Stevens

TOP 20
Male: Lee Dewyze
Female: Paige Miles

TOP 16
Male: Michael Lynch
Female: Crystal Bowersox

TOP 12
Lee Dewyze

TOP 11
Crystal Bowersox

TOP 10
Crystal Bowersox

So doing some comparison between the 2 sets of statistics i've shown..

We can conclude that:

1. Crystal is getting tonnes of votes, maybe that's where all the eliminated girls votes went to..
2. Top vote getters from Top 24 to Top 16 will be in the Top 12.. that means Lee and Crystal who were top voters since the Top 12.. might make it quite far.. top 5 at least.
3. Siobhan's not getting as many votes as i've expected. Same with Andrew.
4. Casey's getting a really fair amount of vote.
5. Aaron is not as popular as he seems to be.
6. Katie might be in the bottom 3 frequently but she's got a solid fan base.. who might do the magic when need be. (Allison was in the bottom 3 frequent times.. until at the final 5 when she was the top 2 vote getters)

The most important conclusion:
Tim and Michael might be the next 2 boots.. they seemed to be the least popular as of now.

Awesome stats, Joab! What amazes me is that Lee and Siobahn don't seem that popular do they (according to the Facebook fanbase). Which is surprising.

I do agree on the fact that Mike might not go too far. But I still feel that he has quite a solid fanbase for now, so I'm with Tim going next. Well he'd better...
TAR 26: Hayley and Blair` Mike and Rochelle` Jelani and Jenny`
Survivor 30: Jenn` Joe` Hali` Sierra`
AI 14: Jax` Clark` Joey`

I do!

Ruth, I think the judges comments have sucked the joy out of Tim now, he didn't look like he was having fun and he looked like he aged 10 years from last week to this one.
