also in case people don't know, singapore and malaysia have a slight timezone of 30 mins, this was told by my relatives who are malaysia, also my dad has confirmed this, but who cares about that half hour, LOL
It depends on which part of Malaysia, really. Johor Bahru in Malaysia doesn't have a different timezone from Singapore.
I doubt it. I've been to both Malaysia and Singapore and they don't have different time zones. I live in the Philippines so I know if there's changes in time zone in those places.
All of you are right, but let me clear this up a little bit for those who are confused!
Malaysia has a much larger longitudinal range than Singapore, which means the time when the sun appears directly overhead varies. The sun is overhead in Singapore about 50min after Kota Kinabalu, and 15min before Penang. This is what Evan means when he says there is a time difference between Malaysia and Singapore.
Clock-wise, though, both countries (including East Malaysia) are in the +8 GMT time-zone. This means Jet/Cord wouldn't have to change the times on their watches going between Penang and Singapore. And they've been in Penang for two days now, surely they would have changed their times, especially after having to catch a train?
I am not confident about the times I deduced from the shadows, would an expert step in to help please?
Dan/Jordan could have been held back by the crazily stringent Singaporean safety standards and briefings, but I'm not sure how long those would take. The train from Malaysia couldn't have arrived before 8.10am, so I'd say the drumming is one of the earlier tasks in the leg.
(So Michael/Louie U-Turn themselves?
