  TAR time wasters...

Helicopter landing on La Digue - YouTube video

Tortoises at L'Union Estate - YouTube video

...just a guess, but I suspect noone tries the tortois detour... they make watching paint dry seem exciting...  :lol3:

Ox cart on La Digue - YouTube video

... come to think of it, those ox carts aren't going to be setting any speed records  :res:

I was wondering if this could be the Pitstop...but there is a flag there...and somehow it doesn't seem scenic enough. So maybe it is where they get another clue? :duno:

I think this is when Brent/Caite first land in the islands. They still have on their warm clothes on from Europe and plane ride. Later when they do the coconut/ox cart, they have stripped the long sleeves off. They may be waiting to catch a helicopter to La Dique

  you may be on to something... the Helicopter Seychelles employees also wear "red" shirts... hmmmm....  coincidence?   :duno:

If you look over Brent's right shoulder, you see another guy in a red shirt sitting at that counter. I dont think that is a bar or a big screen TV...I bet it is a map of all the islands that they fly too.

Perhaps they have to sign up for a charter plane to another island... since we have Carol & Brandy also doing it...

Look who's right behind....

I have been trying to figure out just who is passing who in this pic. I am not sure of the rules of the road in the Seychelles...........but sure looks like Jet/Cord have passed/are passing Brent/Caite.  I guess the pic could be reversed if they drive on the right.

Oh good job DrRox and Boingo!! Is that shot then at the Mahé location of the Helicopter Seychelles??

In that case, grab a number or sign up for a departure time could work well...

I have been wondering why Mike and Louie look a bit stressed in that airport shot?? Perhaps they are a bit slow off the plane? ???

Anyway.... one thing for sure, this does NOT look as though it is going to be another linear episode, thank goodness! :hearts:  Opportunities for shakeups!

Totally right, there is the red shirt guy on the screen!

I was pointing out both of them. Copra machine is just a guess, I don't know what it is. The loading spot seems to match the Union Estate mentioned by Boingo (flat grassy area dotted with palms). It's also spitting distance from the helipad, so it might be the first task(s). The La Passe jetty seems to be the dropoff; how the turtle task winds up there (if it does) is a mystery. Also, the spot where they read their ocean clue (treasure map, whatever it is) might not be the same place they started from.

Not a helicopter symbol, it is the same design as the umbrella on the title "Sea Shells" as seen on the screen caps above.

OK, you're World Race Productions and you have decided to send all the teams released from the pit stop in Epernay to the Seychelles on the same flights. What do you do?

1. Send them on AF952/HM (Air Seychelles) 007 CDG SEZ nonstop 1930 0715+1
or
2. Send them out earlier on QR020 (Qatar Airways) CDG DOH 1605 2340 connecting Doha with QR702 DOH SEZ 0050+1 0645+1?

I would send them out on the nonstop, as things could go wrong on a 6 hour 35 minute flight to Doha.

You might guess that it would be possible for some other flights, connecting in places like Doha or Dubai or Frankfurt or Rome or Milan or London or Zurich, but I cannot find any from anywhere other than Nairobi. This flight KQ450 cannot help us shorten the time to Mahe because its departure at 0905 is too early for any connections from Paris consistent with having all teams on the same flight.

Peach, do you have the special thanks? I'm thinking the pitstop might be L'Archipel on Praslin.

It's an odd-shaped pool they pass by; the closest thing I could find is this one (kmz attached).

Thanks. The coconut loading zone was right next to the copra mill as previously predicted, and the tortoise track was in front of the Emmanuelle house a few yards away.

I stumbled across a video that is camera-rotating-small amounts photography set to just under 3 mintues of music from Sam Cooke. It certainly is a beautiful island. Here is the link:

Louie and Michael get their roadblock clue at 10:21. Rare that we get a clear enough image of a digital watch...
Note to future racers - if you want to get some RFF love, wear a big non-digital watch.

1:15 by the time they get the bottle on board...
So it took an hour to travel and retrieve the bottle? Seems too long.
