Great find!   :jumpy:  :jam: It also sheds some light on Chateau's predictions about the trip to the airport.

Also means that they may not have gone to Germany after all...France??

And definitely means that Dijibouti was a false spoiler, right? No other African countries.

For the first time, when the teams departed "The Amazing Race" starting line, they had to rely solely on public transportation - no rental cars, no taxis - to make their way from downtown Los Angeles to the airport, a world-class challenge in itself.

Could be interesting... considering what I know about LA.

Van Munster speaks with forked tongue on the difficulty of getting to Mahe Airport on the Seychelles. If teams have to go beyond that island, then additional flights will be needed (but I do not consider that likely). Here is the one nonstop 9 hour 35 minute flight Paris to Mahe

AF952/AM007 CDG SEZ 1930 0805+1

To get from Seychelles to East Asia, Van Munster is correct, as a connection is needed:

EK709 SEZ DXB 0145 0615
EK342 DXB KUL 1030 2125 (note - arrives 2 hours earlier than connection DXB BKK KUL that left Dubai at 0905)

Then there is a wide range of flights from Kuala Lumpur to Penang.

I don't know. My first guess would have been Echo or Elysian, but this seems a little closer to downtown. Some new construction/new plantings.

New construction it is; compare the zoom cap with the GE viewpoint. A park at the corner of 1st and Beaudry.

This helps explain the Moms at Union Station; they went to the ticket counter to ask for information and were returning to the central hub. The signage there is so confusing a fellow has even made a photo essay about it.
It should be interesting to see how it plays out. Although the Civic Center Metro stop is slightly closer, the Flyaway leaves every 20-30 min. I went back to Season 6 to compare; although the clue card wasn't shown, Phil told the teams in his speech to "run into downtown Chicago and catch the train to the airport."

Woohoo Seychelles! :jumpy:

IIRC, there is a daily flight between Seychelles and Singapore. Teams may have been able to catch it, but production probably would have been on that flight.

Phil was seen on a flight from Dubai to KL so that should be impossible.

puddin posted this in News::

Contestants will travel nearly 40,000 miles across five continents and eight countries.  Eleven Teams start off by navigating through the congested streets of Los Angeles and, for the first time ever, must rely solely on public transportation to make their way to LAX.  The Teams' first destination lies in Chile where they will encounter one of the most daunting Roadblocks in the history of the series.  In their ongoing battle for the one million dollar prize, Teams will participate in a grueling World War I reenactment in France, retrace the early days of the iconic rock group, The Beatles, and come face-to-face with one of the world's most infamous villains.

WWI reanactment in France??

Early days of the Beatles is all about Liverpool isn't it?? Could we have Liverpool and not Paraguay?? ???

Villain??

Yes, great job. (and Darth Vader sounds good as well)
Comparing the cap to this map, the starting line would seem to be the west side of the Lower Field. The easiest route would be out the south gate to 1st street. Notice all the minders they have on the ridgeline watching for outsiders.

All the WWI battles were northeast of Paris along the border area with Belgium/Luxemburg/German. The Beatles did come from Liverpool, but they spent a LOT of time in Hamburg too.......

So maybe Paraguay to Northern German to France to Seyschelles.........

Could be the Paraguay spoiler is fake too, like Djibouti....Seems, to me, to be two legs in Europe, from what BVM is saying.
