As of yet unconfirmed by a second sighting - teams may be in Paraguay...

Thanks to Polarbear for finding the tweets!

See the tweets from this person - diureticalorder - who saw production people and flags in the airport as they waited for a flight to Montevideo Uruguay.
Flight from ASU to Monte at 1:20 pm PU 704 - they left before the teams arrived so looking at teams on these flights arriving ASU:

Santiago PZ 709 4:40
Buenos Aires AR 1274 4:50
Ciudad del Este PZ 707 5:10
From there to here, and here to there,

so if the sighting is true, we have:
Leg 1: Santiago/Valparaiso, Chile
Leg 2: Puerto Montt/Puerto Varas, Chile
Leg 3: Bariloche, Argentina
Leg 4: Ascuncion, Paraguay

Her last tweets was after she arrived home in Montevideo, UR...so she had to be on the earlier flight......the 0920 flight  PU 706.  So were they entering Paraguay or leaving???

Article from Bariloche. Some clues to what they visited and where they will go next (Germany)?

You're right - got confused by the time difference - so we could include these incoming flights to Paraguay as well:
EZE Buenos Aires PZ 702 10:20 AM?
VVI Santa Cruz    5L 756  12:00 PM
CWB Curitiba    G3 7470 12:20
EZE Buenos Aires G3 7471 3:55

I think the teams would be arriving in Paraguay - don't think they would have TAR flags set up otherwise - although I guess they could be leaving Paraguay and the flags tell them where to enter the airport.  :duno:

Leg 4: Ascuncion, Paraguay

Well, that would be the last non-Caribbean bordering South American country that TAR has not visited.

diureticalorder/Amy is very nice, she only saw crews

the tv crew(s)? they were certainly western and english speaking...idk though.

if this helps, my friend and i assumed the crew were expecting people from BA...that's where the ticket agent assumed i was going

it was almost like some staff (w/o equipment) had been waiting inside security while cameramen/women & sound people were outside

i didnt c ne1 who seemed 2ba team. the crew had walkie talkies & seemed disinterested such that the racers(?) prolly werent there

The Bariloche leg, I believe, took place on 3 Dec. That means that Asuncion, if it takes place today, cannot be Leg 4. If confirmed, it most likely would be the fifth leg. Speculation: fourth leg in Buenos Aires then?

Agreeing with DrRox on the flight Amy was on. If she was in the Asuncion airport headed to Uruguay seven hours ago (it is now 2.30pm in Asuncion), the flight she was taking was probably PU 706 to Montevideo, departing at 9.20am. Asuncion Intl only has one concourse for arriving and departing flights, so it is entirely possible that the crew was waiting for arrivals while Amy was leaving.

I found this post, although, someone else posted it before but... it says that after Bariloche, the race will go to GERMANY.
Does it make any sense???

Follow up Bariloche

Leopoldo Tiberi, responsible for communication of Tourism Promotion Combined Entity (Emprotur) from Bariloche, stressed that the implementation is an enormous promotional value. "

The Amazing Race (The Great Race), reality show competition of the American CBS network broadcast worldwide, recorded one of the stages in Bariloche, before continuing the filming in Germany, said the tourist promotional agency of the city .

The filming was done days ago on location on el río Limay River

I don't believe in Paraguay midway through the race.
Surely they should be in Africa right now (hence the fewer sightings?).

Thanks, Puddin. The site in the photo is south of the estancia, so maybe the ranch is the pit stop.

Ooh, I'll be disappointed if they took the train from Santa Fe station in San Diego to Union Station in LA, and I wasn't there to see it.  (:;)

  well, Union Station is in downtown L.A.   :groan:  So why were they seen way over by the Marriott, when they could have grabbed a cab right outside the station to get to LAX?  ...I don't think Light Rail goes to the airport yet

here's a 360 pano  showing the arrivals/departure/ticketing area of Union Station (requires a zoom in)

No San Diego.  It's definitely LA's Union Station.  Neobie has been there.  Me too.

Like Neobie said, there is the Flyaway bus.  I use it to get to LAX.  When I'm not trying to break records.  It's a great bargain versus taxis.
