This is really spec...but  with hints coming from more than one place we have to look hard at it. We'll know in a few days if there is anything to this or not I guess?

and puddin will tidy it up to the right place anyhow. :)
yeah, theres nothing I love more and I have nothing else to do
we love you, puddin

I found a tweet from Cronicalibre (Programa televisio internacional "The Amazing Race" grabo capitulos en Puerto Varas.  Puerto Varas is in Chile, near Puerto Monte.  So a 2nd Chilean leg then.

Great find! The article (slow to load) includes mat pictures as well. Puerto Varas is a pretty little town just north of Puerto Montt (they used the airport again, I'm sure), with outstanding views across the lake to Volcan Osorno.
Quote
Despite the secrecy with which they tried to carry out the recordings of "The Amazing Race" broadcast on CBS managed to capture some images of the alleged couple eliminated from this competition.
Evidence of this competition that took place in the lake district of Puerto Varas, had the locations of sites Petrohué, Isla Margarita and Onces Bellavista, to finish the recordings in the traditional grotto of Puerto Varas.

Punto deserves the fact that during the recording of the number transmitted through the cable, it was very difficult to capture images because the attitude of the production was to intimidate the press by sending different people to cover and follow the One who walked with camera although the recordings were carried out in a public place. Even in a fairly hostile people told him that it was a private recording, which ironically took place in a public place

This program won 8 Emmy Awards, hosted by Phil Keoghan is a sort of reality competition, where couples are eliminated (11) throughout adult competition

I don't know why, but that looks like a guy to me. And he doesn't look old enough to be her grandfather. I really think that it is a father/daughter team.

Or is this set in stone that they are in fact that team?

Give me a few to compare it to the picture posted in the contestant thread. And do y'all think this is the second leg elimination? ETA: Sorry, Sailing beat me to the last part, lol.

I'm gonna move the discussion to the contestant spoiler thread.

The fountain next to the mat (in the second photo; I can't bring it over) looks like the one in Lourdes Grotto next to the church. Notice the Huaso greeter taking a break.

Ack, nvm; Neobie found it in the other thread.

Not sure we  know that kiwi...we coulld technically be up to our third, if no >12 hour Pitstops. Does the article SAY WHEN this was??

I believe that teams had to arrive in Puerto Montt on December 1. 12 hours or 36 hour pit-stop depends on whether the teams took a long-distance bus. The plane ride takes 2 hours from Santiago.

I believe that there was a 36-hour pitstop, so that Phil could film in Valparaiso. Thus, leg 2 would have began on December 1.

You believe, or did you hear for sure or even presumed?

ok devils advocate here. lets say this was dec 1. and lets say they finished at 2pm in the afternoon (just a random number) that means at 2 am today the second they would have gotten on a plane to go somewhere else. So my question to peach and puddin how can I check day old flight logs from PV. so that we can maybe see where they would be going and or have already landed at

Onces Bellavista is up the road near Ensenada (wasn't an earlier pit stop near here?). Here's an explanation of onces. But Isla Margarita is just a little rock in the middle of Todos Los Santos.

Punta Veras = no flights

Punta Montt (been here before :lol) most flights to Santiago and Puenta Arenas. From Santiago, they can go anywhere...

Yes Slowhatch. In TAR11 AllStars, there was a pit stop in the same area, at Playa Petrohue. IIRC, it's where David and Mary got eliminated and the Beauty Queens had to go back and get a clue, before Phil would check them in.

So wait, the first leg of the race was like 3-4 days long without a pit stop? Wasn't that picture taken December 1st and if so, that's a really really long leg!
