TAR 4: January 18 - February 14, 2003
TAR 5: January 30 - February 27, 2004
TAR 6: August 13 - September 12, 2004

I'm guessing most people know the approximate routes of the seasons, so this is just to help people see the trends in route by time of year.

Here is a letter from a artist friend that is Estonia right now and this is what she sent me this morning after I asked her if there were any sightings of TAR teams there:
Actually I really have no clue lol

I am in Estonia right now and I cannot understand the language, so
watching TV, listening to the radio, or reading Newspapers is a little
difficult.  I could ask someone for you, but that is also sort of hard lmao

But a quick google turned this up:

/The remaining seven teams continue racing in Germany where a Roadblock
has them bungee-jumping. One team-member nearly passes out from
exhaustion but is okay and continues on with the race. The teams fly
next 450 miles to Budapest, Hungary. Once there, hijinks ensue when the
teams are forced to travel in local cars that are notorious for their
unreliability. Many teams have breakdowns and are forced to get new
cars, or have mechanical work done. Once they've navigated their way,
they arrive at a Detour: Catapault Crash or Cannonball Run. Immediately,
the second Detour proves to be much easier than the first. After the
teams complete the Detour, they receive a clue telling them to catch a
train into Budapest, then travel by taxi to the Net Klub Internet Cafe
where they'll receive an online clue. By the end of the episode, one
team couldn't catch a train into Budapest until the next day so they
were far behind. The other six teams had arrived at the cafe, which
hadn't yet opened.

/Hope that helped :)

René
Is this from an old Google from a previous year that she Googled?

That sounds a lot like a summary of a Season 6 episode.

Trying is good...all of us need to be looking hard...a little blog mention, a picture somewhere...keep looking! In some ways, I don't mind the lack of tweets ...

It gives me hope that perhaps they went somewhere where the the word tweet means something a bird says  ...Africa?? somewhere remote... somewhere exotic!

Back to spoiling now....

Timeline speculation, assuming a 12-leg race.

Leg 1 (Valparaiso): 11/29
Leg 2 (Puerto Varas): 12/1
Leg 3 (Bariloche): 12/2
Leg 4 (Germany?): 12/5
Leg 5: 12/7
Leg 6: 12/8
Leg 7: 12/10
Leg 8: 12/12
Leg 9: 12/14
Leg 10: 12/16
Leg 11: 12/17
Leg 12: 12/19

^ ^ According to that timeline, that could mean we are already in Leg 7 or Leg 8. I wonder why we have heard so little compared to TAR15. :duno:

I hope we hear something soon... :(

so i'm thinking they've spent the last few legs in Africa

but hey, even certain parts of Eastern Europe could easily go without ANY sightings until WAY later

but maybe there'll be a sighting today or tomorrow...

well in the next 8 or so days they will be back in America wrapping it up. So whatever 5 teams we see in America will let us know a good amount. Put where in America will they finish this year... Im thinking Florida or Seattle or something along those lines ha

You mean six. Generally there are three decoy teams.

Yes, it does seem about time for an east coast finish.

Just saying guys...last season was a wonderful, exciting, unexpected gift to follow the race in LIVE time. They were also in cities and high-tech countries a lot of the time, making sightings much more likely.

This race is MUCH more the normal....this race will take hard work and a little luck from here on out... this is where our skills come in. We'll have loads of fun looking for them...things appear when you least expect it, photos get uploaded later, new friends come forth with sightings and info, screencaps get analyzed.

If this is your first season with us, stick around. The fun is just beginning when the race is completed!

I really hope CBS doesn't spoil the route. It would be so much fun to actually figure it out like in the non-spoiled days! Besides, people are already going to go watch JeJo and Miss Teen.

If the race is circumnavigating the globe east this time, I don't see an East Coast finish. Probably San Diego/Seattle/SF. Of course, they could pull a great circle route just like TAR 7.

Would they go to Seattle so soon after finishing in the Northwest (Portland TAR 13)?

Let's hope so,  when TAR 13 was here, it was all over the news.  The racers were running through downtown during the middle of the week, and all kinds of people were calling into radio/tv stations, etc., talking about what they saw.  Even when they left the city to surrounding areas, every location was outed.

I wasn't speculating that it would finish on the east coast; I only meant that it should.

I disagree, I love being spoiled, I hate sitting in suspense not knowing.
