Hairdo does look right.  Gray backpack strap, too (ignore the rain cover).

Interesting find, Plaidmoon. The Feria de San Pedro Telmo takes place on Sundays; the booth in the picture belongs to Juanita Rosemblat (can't link to it directly; go here and choose "puestos" for booths and "como llegar" for a map).

Here's the info we had on the TAR lookalike in BA on 11/29, plus a picture. I believe there are more pics somewhere...  ???

Victor\'s Amazing Race- Mooyou and Jerseydude (Currently 5th)
RFF Amazing Race Season 2- Redskevin88 & Jerseydude (Eliminated 4th)

:groan:  ummm... is it me, or are others NOT seeing any AMAZING FANNY PACKS in any of these BA sightings.

ETA: ... come to think of it, the name "Fanny Pack" is a bit dated, as it has grown over the seasons to become "The Amazing Over The Shoulder Bag"   :lol3:

And the camera date is correct:  The shot of (non-TAR16) racers was indeed November 29th

This Polo match pictured in their album has a date stamp of November 28th:

And here is a run-down of the horses that played at the Polermo (that is where the shot was taken) on November 28th.  Notice the four horses' names that are displayed in the shot for team Chapa Uno:

Chapa Barbaro
Fantastica
Majestade
Pita Poy

Those names also appear in the run-down.

 :badhorse:

The time is off by 4 hours and 50 minutes but that is because of the PST setting.  Argentina is 5 hours ahead of PST on November 29th.

I researched Marine Corp bases in Africa/Asia and there are some possibilities:  Djibouti and Kuwait are the only possibilities.  Also I looked at Europe and found Germany has a US Marine Corp reserve in SW Germany in city called Boblingen, which is kind of near Stuttgart.  Airlines flying out Djibouti is also simple since Kenya Airways, Air France, and Ethiopian Airlines is has good majorities of flights to larger cities that connect to Dubai.  Kuwait is also good, but they visited Kuwait in Season10.  As for Diego Garcia mentioned in a different post, military aircraft would be the only way to get there and they would never actually get to go there anyway.

Is it possible that, in a move designed to confuse RFF and others attempting to spoil AR16, WRP decided to split the location of the first leg and have about half go to Vina del Mar and the other half to Buenos Aires before joining up later in Santiago or Bariloche. This would be radical but how else can the apparent photos of 11/29 teams in Buenos Aires be reconciled? If split you could eliminate one team from both first leg locations or more likely have a NEL in both locations.

Since I already think we'll have an uberleg this season, so the show can get its finale in May, somehow, I'll put the idea of the first leg as a TBC or uber-leg as a way to reconcile the seeming inconsistency.

Somebody thought that the eliminated racers were sequestered in Mexico during the running of TAR9. I remember FrostieJ posting about Portugal.

Some other version
Here:

this past Sunday we stumbled upon the taping of what I believe to have been the French, or possibly Portugese, version of the reality TV show “The Amazing Race”.

Hi! I saw your pictures of the “Amazing Race” and was curious about what you saw. The US version is filming in South America and I’m tracking it. Can you tell me anything you saw? Maybe how many teams and a description? I don’t think it was the US version, but want to make sure. Thanks!

We’re not sure that it was the actual “Amazing Race”, but definitely something like it. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t the US version since the contestants weren’t speaking English (or Spanish), but that’s interesting that it’s currently filming in South America. It was pretty amusing watching the camera guys chase the contestants through the crowds. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get too many details, but the team of two girls seemed to be in the lead…

If you enlarge the photo you found recently, one of the contestants has similar hair.
